So I got finished trouble spotting rattles last night and got my skids on. One of the heat shields was rubbing one of the resonators and needed a little flattening.

Drivers side

Passenger side where I broke a stud.

Little too close for comfort

Extra parts that were removed

by by little skid

Little plastic protection

and all my skids on for the first time in 1/2 year

I was clay baring a fender for the first time Saturday and then friends stopped by with some beers. Needless to say claybaring stopped and we ended up going to our local 1/4 mile track. This was the fastest car of the day and driven by a hot chick

Tonight I messed with some 3" x 3" x 3/16" structural aluminum angle for a behind the grill light bar. Now I just gotta test fit it with the used KC's I got, drill the light holes, paint it and slap it on. Hopefully it won't let the lights bounce but if it does Ill add another smaller angle to the bottom of it in the front.

She was to fast and I was to drunk. I didn't even think I would get a pic of the time then by the time she came by it was minutes later and I put my camera down.

We took a ride in the trails behind the track while it was drizzling while waiting for the track to dry. This is the only other pic I got that day. Still have no idea WTF made the tracks into the lake or whatever it was is still at the bottom of it.

I did get yelled at by some POS rednecks for having a Toyota. Every time I go to the track fucking Chevy & Ford haters hate. I never got messed with in the 12 years I drove Fords or my bike there. Pretty funny.

Did a little fooling around after work tonight and got the placement of the lights where I want them. Without a bottom brace they will bounce bad so I came up with an angled piece to solve the problem and then had to run and grab some bolts.

It was getting dark out and I need some beer so I called it quits for the night and will get back on it tomorrow. Just need about another hour to have it 100% and ready for some paint.

Hopefully I don't eat any rocks in the rad tonight or have any crack heads try to steel anything from under my hood.

Assholes dumping on my local trails = free planting bed cover for my front yard this morning.

Weirdly I was getting stalked by a wild turkey all morning. Every time I would throw rocks in the bed he would make a call. Guess they sounded similar  He flanked me for about an hour, but I couldn't get a peak at him. Then someone in quad came to the pit, and stopped about 100 yards away to check me out. Then he pulled up and said he thought I was shooting. I guess rocks getting thrown on a composite bed is confusing to man and animal.

My door was popping like crazy after a week of rough dirt roads and luckily it was just 2 loose bolts.

Got my wheelers rear bumpstops last week.

After installing a u bolt flip kit and the same bumpstops on a TW buddys truck and talking to brianr about his bumpstops I decided to do things a little different so I don't loose upward travel. Brian cut out a couple " of his steel bracket and said he still loses travel so I decided to try something new on one side today to test it out.

With the u bolt flip and the new stop (with steel collar removed) the new set up is taller, but the new bump stops compress more so I'm thinking I should have more upward travel.

I'm wondering if this will work over the long haul. The stock bumpstop hits directly under the frame and the tower. My mounting method puts pressure on some of the frame but mostly the tower. If the tower starts bending or the bumpstop starts de-laminating from the core Ill rethink it. If it doesn't Ill do the other side.

The bump stop will hit off center of the flip kit towards the outside of the axle, but all of it hits. I would of taken a pic, but I wasn't using the safest way to compress my leafs to test fit and had my hands full. Used a combination of hi-lift, jackstand, and small ratchet strap.

RIP......small ratchet strap :o
