I tried for over a year. He's too busy helping people who didn't help him when he was starting out in the Yota scene
Must have called him 20-30 times. Called last weekend unanswered. Called this weekend and he said he was busy trying to sell another engine he just took out of a friends truck and sent me a pic of it on his tractor. I found that very amusing. Offers to help online in forums that are hollow in reality are in fact poppycock

On the other hand a friend who has limited mechanical abilities/tools/time pushed me to have him come help so he didn't need to hit the trails solo. Props to him for driving 4+ hrs and putting in almost 20hrs helping & BS'ing this weekend. His ball busting and help is the only reason she's starting chemo. I said screw last weekend because of rain - he called me a pussy and said he would be at my door

Ill have engine parts + a ton of other crap available as soon as I get her up and running less the block and heads for now. Once I install the hundreds of parts I have around Ill be purging everything left over or taken off cheap. Tired of having an entire room full of Yota parts.

Anyone want a SPOD cheap - let me know. Never used - still in the box. I have two brand new with two different set ups. Been stored in my spare bed room for years. Il have to check my receipts for the specs. Think one is stock for Yota and 1 I had custom made for my yota.

Engine popped right out Saturday. You guys had me a little worried about working in the grass, but it was easy. Not going to be as easy getting the new/used back in on unlevel ground, but those engine blocks are fairly light. I was lifting the block up by hand as I was breaking the motor mount bolts free.

Plan now is to clean and refurbish the engine bay and frame from the cab mounts forward then install the motor in a week or two.

My frame looks great. Rear I redid a few years ago is cherry + No surface rust in the dreaded cat area under the front seats nor are the cab mounts rusted through yet.

Ill throw some up tonight if I can remember. Also found one Spod - need to locate the other. Spent 2hrs cleaning my spare bed room (AKA Toyota parts room), but it wasn't in there. Must be in a random unmarked box in my other spare bedroom.

BTW note to self/others - no need to buy a 4 bedroom house when you're single - I just fill them with crap.

also when researching the swap last week I came across some X-runner swaps with LS engines... man those looked sweet. So much more room for activities with a LS instead of the 4.slow. My engine bay will be even more filled up once I put the equal length headers on the new engine.
