An air tank is an air tank, of course I would avoid Harbour Freight, but other wise they are all created equal IMO. I would get the biggest one possible if you plan to air down all 4 tires & have enough to fill them back up. I have a 9 gallon & it won't air 4 tires from 12 to 35 psi.

They make tanks that are made just for that. I haven't looked for them but I know that I have seen them. Just do OBA dude!

I'm with Jason, just do OBA. A 3-5 gallon hotdog tank and a small compressor. The MF50 from PepBoys is about $65 and it does a decent job. Hard mount it with a small tank and you can have OBA for under $125 (including fittings and pressure switch). It might not run air tools, but it will air up tires. Hell I used mine yesterday to fill up a couple kiddie pools for a party. LOL

I go with Child Mo, blow up them kitty pools buddy. jk. Ya, ask texasislandboy about his. He has OBA for relatively cheap too, works for doing his tires easy.

sounds about right.
There is always the "Powertank" setup. Heavy initial out of pocket expense but they'll refill your tires many times and the cost to refill at a welding shop is around $20. Only donwside I've head is the more you use it in a cold climate the less effective it is.
If you are going to run a compressor I recommend the Viair 550C (if you can find them), 100% duty cycle at 2.9CFM. Hook that up to a tank and you'll have no problem airing up tires and running ARB Lockers.

I'm thinking about getting one of those heavy duty air pumps that slime has and use. also has a ton of attachments to inflate tubes and stuff. Cost some bucks, but well worth it IMO.

Just revisited this thread, sorry sean. yeah, I wanted it but.... no $$ for doing that MOD right now. Found an ARB compressor for 200$ and waited too long to pic it up.
I am still in the market for a few things, just looking for sweet deals.. 12V Compressor, 1st Gen Taco ARB bumper, Swing out rear bumper for 4 runner.. you know how it is.

yeah sure! Let me know. But let me ask you this? Did you upgrade b/c the lack of the performace of the Slime unit or b/c just plain and simple that the WARN unit is badass?
