I have a big 30" floor fan that sounds like a Cessna. If I had more ceiling height I would put some ceiling fans up there.. but the garage has low ceilings. :(

Garage A/C. If you can put it in, you'll never leave your garage. :)

Very good point. I'll just be sure to torque them to the proper specs.

When you installed them you had to drill the hub to allow for the new pins correct? What depth did you drill them to? I didn't see any instructions in the box so I wasn't sure. Also, any tips to easliy remove the factory pins in the hub? The studs where easy enough to pull, but the pins are not budging.

I didn't use the flanges - I have locking hubs on all four corners. - No pin removal for me. What about a torch on the hub and an ice cube to the pin!? :D

Also, just found this - http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=992779&highlight=

I haven't finished it but I'm not worried (yet ;)) for the same reason - shear.

Thats right.. I knew that. Its Monday.

I noticed that tonight when I pulled the old studs out that the long end was in the hub.. I wondered about it at the time but it was too hot to dig into it. Now I know.. should have bought FROR's studs... maybe I would get them one year. :) Sucks that TG got the mounting flange on the wrong end though! I need to see about cutting off the top and mounting them the correct way like that guy on Pirate was talking about.

Sean - I know I sound like a TG fan - only their cust service... I don't think this is an issue - take a look at my last post on Pirate. I'll make you a $69 bet that you have no problem using them the way you have them!

I wonder if I just threaded the bottom side a little more to allow it to sink in further into the hub? Hmm..

very good point! When mine failed they sheared off, leaving most of the stud in the hub. I still wouldn't mind threading them a few more threads.. not much. Just enough to eliminate the need (or not) for the double washer and give myself a little more depth on the mount.

I know that I am getting way to anal but, 'cutting' the threads and not 'rolling' the threads could actually create a stress riser and a point of failure. If you really don't like the idea of using them, send them back - they will give you credit! But really from my POV (Mech/Aero engineering background - didn't want to use the race card! lol) you should have no problem. I will even do a few calcs to illustrate the stressors if you would like! :D

With those new pins, you will have NO problem! Braden's law, not Murphy's!!! lol lol

You won't need the 'extra washer' if you leave well enough (IMO ;)) alone! It will bottom out and not have threads exposed!

One other point. Remember that these puppies are heat treated. If you 'cut' a new thread, you will be removing the strongest material of the stud! Does it sound like I am trying to keep you from doing extra work, or does it sound like I want a trail failure? I hope you know, I hate trail fails!!!

Yeah, I guess I'm just being over-critical. Don't want to leave any stone unturned... figure as long as I'm in there might as well do it as best I can. I really don't think they will break.. especially with the flanges which are pretty thick.

Didn't TG have crossmember/skids on sale?

As for the 20R... At least you wont get many speeding tickets. lol

All though I don't have the over-under-engineered All Pro POS, mine does have a similar design in the way it mounts/loads the tcases!

Do you feel better now? :D

I saw a couple threads on Pirate with pics similar to those.. pretty messed up. I like the BB flat belly skid. I have the BB skid but its not the flat belly. Your drivetrain is lifted isn't it?

Yes - my drivetrain is lifted.

Now to figure out all the fittings and lines I need.
-8 male out of tank into a -6 male on the fuel filter.. out of the fuel filter as -6 male and into the fuel pump as 1/4 NPT female.. out of the fuel pump as 1/4 NPT female.. into the regulator as 3/8's NPT female.. out as 3/8's female and then another 3/8's NPT back to the take as the return.. which goes into the tank as -8 male. Fuel vent on the tank is -8 male. Couldn't be easy but I think I have a handle on it.
