Its out in the paint booth while the primer bakes on. When I say paint booth I mean 140+ degree garage.

Now if I could just get motivated enough to pull the bed and start on a tube/flat bed. lol

When I painted the sliders for the LX, the paint dried faster than ever in that heat

Christa asked why our cold water was super hot. It's because of the 10' pipe run through the attic.

tell her your going green and installed a solar water heating system to cut down on entergy use during the summer. I only turn my heater on for a few hours when I get home and it stays plenty hot for 6 showers. my bill dropped quite a bit just from that.

I'm feeling motivated... well motivated enough to head off to Home Depot and buy a bunch of cutoff disks and Saw-Z-All blades.. I'm gonna pull the bed.... or at least cut part of it off.

You're braver than I am, it's still about 120* in the garage according to the thermometer.

There you go!would cutting bolt heads from the top be easier to remove the entire bed or are you keeping the bed floor and building around it?

Damn your doing it the hard way, all you had to do was remove the bolts and drag the bed off the frame with the taco.

Yeah, I hear ya. But the front end is still apart.. awaiting new hiem joint steering/chromoly pitman arm and I still need to drill out the hubs on a press. Plus I wanted to cut it up into chunks to dispose of easier anyhow. So it was getting cut up, I'm just doing it on the rig. While is actually not too bad. Its just hot!

Its all coming off.. just can only really get to one side so far. Next week I should be able to get to both sides.

I crawled under and removed all the bolts holding the bed on.. 6 total. But I'm planning to cut it up before it comes off. Then transport the scrap to the guy near garzanium and MAYBE I'll get some cash towards the front fenders he has. Once all's said and done its new name will be "the rig formerly known as the Raisin" :)
