what did you think of those EBC green stuff pads?

i just put the green stuff 7000s on mine with the factory rotors and i noticed quite a bit of difference under hard braking. although they have alot more dust than i was expecting...

Oh I liked them.. I noticed a difference for sure. I didn't notice a dust issue, could be due to my black rims. They did take a few miles to really get broken in. It may have been them or the EBC rotors, but I felt it was at least 500 miles, if not more, until I really felt the difference.

You took em off after 35k miles right? How much life was left in them?

Normally my big car (I've had 3 of them) eats up front pads every 25k. I wish I remembered what brand I put on the front last time. The brake dust is non-existent and I just checked them and I bet I will get more than 40k from them - And stopping power has remained constant! :) In other words I have no news at this time. :) :o

I haven't replaced them yet. I replaced the OEM with EBC and next will be the Powerstops. But I need to get the time to do it. Maybe today.

lol Well hopefully if my wife lets me (lets be real... its the truth :D) If she lets me I'll do the brakes tomorrow and find out.

When did we start speaking the truth in here?

I'm the man of my house and I do what I want when I want. Generally I just check with my wife to make sure there isn't anything she needs/wants me to do first out of consideration for her.

If you believe that I'll sell you Blake's running trail-ready rig.

Well.. fuck.. got the brakes swapped out easy enough. But those bleeders won't work. Wrong size... bastards.

Old vs New Green stuff's still looked good after 35K miles... half life maybe.

Just fucking with the Racelines.. they will be going on the trail rig.. tires YTBD.. but I'm in between 37 and 39" Krawler red labels. But they look sweet on the taco.. just not enough backspacing.

Almost finished up the rack lights.. the ones facing downward will be next. But the remote for the others is pretty slick.

But they work well .. edit.. its a Youboob video now

I may have ordered the wrong ones.. but we'll see. Was so looking forward to these. Had to call the wife into duty to assist in bleeding the brakes. But it drives great now. No vibes.. stops as good as it did before. Haven't towed anything so I can't tell its real performance. But so far its good.

They sell em at our local O'reilly's or one of the chains. I have to do my brake flush on my 7... may get a set for that and see how they do. Have you tried just turning the key on for the rear brakes? ABS pumps themselves! :) Just need some one to step on the brakes and the system want's to see a certain pressure so it pumps itself. Try it! :)

Not sure.. MUCH smaller. I was going to look at there website and see whats available. But whatever was sent to me is way too big. I want to try them on the trail rigs brakes and see how they fit there.

I just did the ol "pump 5 times.. hold.. crack it.. tighten it... pump 5 times.. repeat" method. Brakes feel good. Just required two people to do it. I really wanted these things to work. I'll be looking into them.

Next time, try as I've described. Pretty cool. Don't know if the 07 has the same set up.

thanks man. Once I get the bottom facing ones done it should be pretty sweet. I'll try to get it out into a dark area and light it up.
