Correct. I just need to install the HAM this weekend and run the cables. I picked up a Cobra 75 to replace my Midland.

Yeah, I have to run a new CB cable when I run the 2M cable. I have it, I was just waiting to run them both at the same time. Mine was just very brittle and cracked due to the sun.

A quick tip if you haven't terminated your cable yet is to use heat shrink tubing over the portions that are exposed to the elements or at possible pinch points. I'll put different colored shrink tube on different wires to easily differentiate when trying to troubleshoot.

And Chinese Frieght sells some kits with multi-color shrink wrap... Nice tip! Also fuel line on ARB airline where it may chafe or exposed to high heat. It's awful if you chafe or burn your hose!

I apologize for not adding this earlier and hope it can still be of help.

I pulled the radio out of my Jeep before I sold it and will put it into this truck when I get to that point. I use a dual band radio that has two separate antenna ports on the back and it seems real easy to me to mistakenly cross the antenna plugs up and put them on wrong. To prevent me doing that I place an inch of the heat shrink tube at each termination point on each cable as well so that I can easily tell which cable is tied to which antenna keeping me from crossing them up. A quick hit with a dot of the same color from one of my wife's paint pens allows me to effectively color code each port to the colored cable end. I know it sounds like a bit of overkill but when you are trying to troubleshoot an issue in the field it can save you from damaging a radio by plugging the wrong antenna into it. I hope this can help and again apologize for not adding it earlier.

Nice, did you get a double din, or just cut the cubby out?

I cut out the cubby. But it wasn't as easy I thought it would be. The attachment points for the DIN adapter connect to the backside of the cubby. So when you cut out the cubby you loose the 4 mounting points. So I had to break out the Dremel and the 2 part epoxy and build new mounts. Turned out good though. Time will tell if its strong enough.

Amazon has double dins that let you mount teo radios, and I have a extra one you can have that will on work on 05-08 tacos ( its black).

2M and the Cobra 75 work. Well the Cobra works and the Kenwood 2M powers up... didn't hear anyone talking though. :)

Finally mounted my RAM mount for my Triton. Its threaded into one of the bolt holes that hold the oh shit handle in place.

It does block part of the view to the gauges, but I can see the top of the oil pressure gauge with a quick glance.
