Good call! I've seen a few 'first rear end' trophys with the ring and pinion welded together! A nice collage of parts would be sweet. A guy I knew in college had a red, crumpled Porche fender hanging in his kitchen. It was from the time he 'borrowed' his dad's car! Nice!!!

Just an update. That little sensor switch that determines if you are locked or not... don't break one. They are $60 to replace.

Replaced the Magellan Triton GPS with a Garmin Oregon 450. Need to hard wire the power to it yet and load up the 1:24000 Garmin Topo maps.

The Magellan will find its way into Mr Greybeard this week.

Looks good. I'm interested in how you like the Oregon. Did you look at any others like the 62S, or were you set on the Oregon?

I looked at the 62s.. And if I was going to use it hiking or out of the truck I would have bought that one. But I like the larger higher resolution display. No issues yet, buy I haven't had much of a chance to test it out.
