My bad... I was on the wrong spot on the frame. Now it lines up perfect.

It will settle down once I get some weight on it. Plus I have 4 sets of "tuning" coils to help it out.

Got some scale extras. The HiLift actually works just like a full size one... no it didn't almost kill me but if it was bigger it would try. Its just a little too big IMO... they say its 1/10 scale.. but it just appears a smidge bigger. Oh well. And putting the Warn decals on the fairlead was a PITA.

Yeah, I should do something like that. Hopefully I can work on it this week. I'm actually still waiting on some parts. A few things are on backorder so that sucks.

trail camera showed up today... its small! It came with a collection of mounting enclosures. I'll fuck with them and see if I can't make one that looks like a little cube. I wasn't sure how to power it (USB via wall wart or PC) but I decided to buy a 10000 mAh portable phone charger. Should work. Its a tiny one too. Like 2.5" x 2'5" x 1/2".

Funny you should post that.. I got one (not the same one) but similar, today. I might get another, one for the garage and one for the office.

Going to have to order a different rear bumper. The one I have hits the body, had to take it off to make it sit right.

So when are you building an expo trailer for it? You can model it after the one in your garage. :)

Picked up a couple sets of rims. Almost the exact same style I had on my crawler (crawlers where black with silver rock ring). I'm going to paint one set FDE and leave the other alone. I have some IROK's coming for one set of the rims as well. I have a feeling that installing the tires on these beadlocks is going to be a bigger PITA than when I installed tires on the real thing. The little "socket" for the rock ring is a 2mm tiny little fucker.

Been helping my future BIL with his RC airplanes when we're over at their house. It peaked my interest again so I just picked up all my RC stuff from my parents house that I've had stored in a closet for the last few years. Ordered a bunch of stuff I know I need to get them going again but going to tear them down and see if theres anything I forgot and get it all ordered. And they don't know I know but I'm pretty sure her and her family are getting me an HPI Savage XL Flux for my birthday in March.

Yep, I got one of mine assembled. Fuck that. Going to pick up a cheap ass HF electric screwdriver tomorrow for the other three.

I have started to assemble one.... ONE.. total PITA!! Easier to assemble full size bead locks. I still need to touch up the paint. You can also see on the bottom right the tire is not totally in the groove of the rim... so another PITA to disassemble and fix.

I know you have all the tools you'll ever need but if you're looking for some small RC specific tools, the HobbyPark tools on Amazon are super nice. Just got mine today. 1.5mm, 2.0mm, 2.5mm, and 3.0mm hex drivers as well as 4.0mm, 5.5mm, 7.0mm, and 8.0mm nut drivers. Also picked up this Wera 1/4" bit driver accidentally. I thought it was a full size driver. Turns out it's the perfect size for this stuff.

I have the Hobby Park stuff but this month I also picked up just about every "micro" tool Wiha sells, tiny hex drivers, tiny nut drivers, ball-end hex drivers and a set of the screwdrivers (second set.. others are in my toolbox in the garage).
