Damn that's thin! Looks nice but for ~$500 more I'll just get a hardshell for better aerodynamics and ease of setup...

(kinda sad I'm complaining about setup/breakup times now...especially when compared to a ground tent...I'm disappointed in myself )

in reality I could do this with the gear I already have. been wanting to do an overnight kayak trip for a few years now

That is a pretty nice solution. Thankfully I think I am now able to use the retaining wall in the back of my house to load/unload the RTT at my waist instead of above my head.

That's a good idea. I envisioned something similar to that for mine, except coming off the side. I won't be able to get it from the rear with the spoiler. Probably try and make something with 2x4s next time.

I am still jealous of @italynstylion 's setup in his garage. He has a pulley system that lifts and lowers it on his Tacoma.

Pretty cool - similar to how I got my motor out of the bed of my truck and into my shed by myself. Where there is a will there is always a way.

I am still jealous of @italynstylion 's setup in his garage. He has a pulley system that lifts and lowers it on his Tacoma.

I really wish I could fit in the garage while loaded to do that. Next house needs a 10' garage door.

Yeah, basically a shop with an apartment attached.

I debated modifying my race car track setup to have a couple eyebolts on the bottom side I could attach to the RTT and lift it off. I didn't because I don't plan to remove it.

You do remove it. You just drop the trailer and drive off from it.

So my CVT Velcro straps that go over the outer case went to crap on the way home from BBRSP last time. So I contacted them for a warranty issue but I wanted the upgraded straps.

They had me send them some pics of the bad straps, apologized, and charged me the difference between the stock straps and the upgrades. New straps should be here next week.

Yep same thing happened to mine. They ended up sending me new velcro straps and a new cover as well (cover straps broke as well).

I put an anti condensation mat in the RTT today. I haven't had condensation issues but didn't care to have any wet mattresses.

I should get one. In cold winter camping, I take my mattress out and let it dry in the sun before I roll out.

I bought one for my tent right off the bat at the advice of a few people. It has been a good investment.
