safety seal kit multi person purchase

since I have left TW I thought I would offer the user's here the safety seal multi person purchase.

due to the fact that we are purchasing from the factory and getting factory rates I MUST have a fair idea of the # of units so they can be assembled and packaged at the factory.

so anyone here who has an interest please cut and paste entire list adding your user name to a new reply in this thread.

as I said before if you dont like the way I run my multi person purchase simply dont participate. snarky comments and flameing posts are not neccesary or appreciated.

reports of online prices are appreciated and will be considered to form a baseline for their offer

Bill BUrke is a professional back country guide and driving trainer with corporate sponsers like Toyota BFG superwinch , bloomfield manufacturing (hilift) and safety seal among others. He was also a HAZMAT OTR driver for many years with over 1M miles in the books.

on our last trip he plugged a 1 1/4" sidewall cut on the rear BFG of his range rover with 4 or 5 plugs from the safety seal kit. filled it with air and wheeled it in moab for 2 more days. then drove it to Colorado and put his truck in storage for 2 months. when he got back it still had 40 pounds of air pressure in it.

Bill Burke wrote on facebook : You all know how happy I am to demonstrate the Safety Seal tire repair kit I carry and how I have used it many times to fix random flats and sidewall cuts. Well, I can show you a picture of 5, yes five, plugs inserted into my sidewall on the blue Range Rover tires. My well used BFG KM tires got bit by a nasty rock in Moab awhile back and I carefully loaded the plugs into the sidewall. They held for two more days of hard trail use – finished Dome Plateau, ran Strike Ravine and drove the interstate back to Fruita. (not recommended for safety purposes but..) When I parked the Rangie in storage there was still 42psi in the tire! Yep, the Safety Seal kit is the best! BB

for the most part its the self vulcanizing plugs that separate the safety seal kit from the others. However the tools are also of a patented design.

so if safety seal is the choice of a professional who drives off road for a living it is good enough for me.

getting the kits at a factory price is another great reason to jump in it.

would you rather trust your life on a chinese one you bought at walmart or an USA made one endorsed and used in the field by a professional 4 wheeler ?

perhaps I can get BIll to sign on and tell us more about the differences he sees between the safety seal kit and some of the others.

heres a link to the off road kit

I've used mine a few times. I even patched a sidewall puncture and drove on it for about 2 weeks until Discount Tire could get a KM2 in. It was a rear and I don't really drive too far. But those metal tools are the shit! Blows the doors off those cheap-o kits.

Yes, that did suck. I think it was right about at that very moment that I decided "I'm buying a trail rig".

Looks that way, it might be because this site only has ~100 members. Makes it hard to find a very big group of folks who all want to buy the same thing at the same time and have the money to do it.
yeah thats true, I would deff get one but I'm saving for a locker and I'm picking up a new project truck tonight, there goes all my extra $$

I assume then that I'll only need 1 kit and can get more patching materials separately so I don't have to pay for the tools twice?
