This is true... just when I was getting used to not having a truck payment... I have a dealer in Alvin that I may have to swing by to "just look at them"

I got my '06 regular cab 4x4 with 40K miles on it for 12K (2 years ago). I had to drive to Wichita Falls though. Keep looking on auto trader. They pop up alot more often out in smaller cities.

I'll keep looking. It may only be 2wd, but I'm really liking not having payments on the 4runner. I'll probably have to get stuck a few more times before I actually bite the bullet and buy a new truck.

I agree, but buying an IFS front end from someone who is doing an SAS would cost less than half as much

OK, so what exactly would I need to do this? Transmission? or just the transfer case, front dif., drivshafts, axles, and suspension? What else am I overlooking?
