My parents are going to be in Creede for the balloon fest Labor Day weekend.

Main post has been updated. We are set on Creede as the starting point. While there is no brewery in Creede, there is still beer. If we get the itch to drive, Lake City Brewery is about an hour away.

I plan to leave either Thursday after work or Friday morning so that we can be there Saturday morning for the race.

I also ordered all the parts that I need to wire up a second battery and fridge. This will be a good trip to use the setup. I'll probably have at least 2 other longer road trips before this one to work out any kinks.

So I am a more than likely going. My parents will already be there and have rented a cabin in Creede. I will probably stay there or use it as a base camp. Im cool with camping if the others are. My biggest hurdles would be if I get drawn for a deer tag or the housing situation but I will know about those for sure in a few weeks.

Are the ladies invited too or is this a boys club only event?

Side pieces that are strippers are required to "perform" at camp. At least that was the rule for the Arkansas trip. :D

Make sure little ones are in bed and dollar bills are crisp... goes without saying right?

Do all you guys have ham radios after the Arkansas trip? I still haven't picked one up yet because I'm saving my pennies for an RTT now

Wait till it gets closer; I bet there are a few spare radios that could be sent along.

I must have called it a night around the same time the little ones went to bed. I don't remember any stripper side pieces....though that would explain why @Silverback had a giant pole with a light on top.

I bet you could pick up @balakay 's that he used for the Ark trip. I think I read on another thread that he has since purchased a fancier one. Me and @tx_shooter both borrowed extra ones from Sean, so there likely will be spares.
