Well, it's that time of year again. The time that Zoom and I trek off to test our cold weather camping skills!!!

Last year was Death Valley.

This year the committee has settled on SouthEast Arizona - starting from Tombstone! SEAZ the Holidays!!!

I'm hoping to stir up some interest from a few folks I've wheeled with before in AZ to join in on the wheeling.

If any of the members of TexasTacomasOffroad or it's licensed subsidiaries wants to join us in some off road shenanigans between Christmas and New Years, we would love to have you join.

It has been almost 25 years!!! (man I can't believe I've even lived that long!) Well anyway, 25 years since I've ventured off road down that way... I remember I had a blast. I remember there was a bunch of wine. I remember we had great food. I remember bathing everyday in some cold water... and I remember the steer that woke my ass up with, what looked like a 6 foot long rack!!! The sad part, I have no idea where we were or how we got there!!! :)

So, if anyone has any good ideas on some good SEAZ off roading, or they would like to join us, please let me know.

:shifty:

If I had a rig, I'd be making arangements right now to be out there. I have the last 2 weeks in Dec off, but Christa doesn't. Need to figure out something awesome to do. Vegas?

Yeah, with two weeks ... ya gotta do something!!!

If you're going to be doing a camp-and-move trip, get with the Tucson guys and camp up off Reddington Pass. That will give you access to some decent wheeling. Look up Chivo Falls, 3 Feathers, Chimney Rock.

BTW: I'd be concerned about camping any farther south than Tombstone. That's ground zero for illegal immigration and smuggling in AZ. Pack heat if you go. It would be too easy for a bunch of illegals to steal your truck to get inland quicker...

Wow!!! ... both accounts. Very good info.

I was planning on having my pocket warmer but I would have never thought of the traffic!!! Not because I don't realize that it exists but my head was firmly planted up my ass! VERY good pointer and awareness item. One more reason to make sure we either bring friends or make friends before venturing off.
