Sept 8-10: Shaffer's Bend and Hidden Falls

So I have a shake down run before the Arkansas trip coming together with @Silverback . The trip is open to anyone but here is what it is planned as right now:

Friday, Sept 8: Arrive that evening and camp at Shaffer's Bend.

Saturday, Sept 9: Pack up and do a say wheeling trip at Hidden Falls. Return to Shaffer's Bend to float or swim in the lake, camp that night.

Sunday, Sept 10: Return home.

Shaffer's Bend : all primitive with flushing bathrooms at the front gate and chemical toilets spread out inside the park. All camp sites are either right on or close to the water. There are a limited number of camp sites so I will reserve the spots really soon. Shaffer's website

Hidden Falls : will mainly be looking for moderate trails to test the booshi trailer and rig setups before Arkansas.

I reserved Site 11 which is good for 2 vehicles. If another rig wants to go I think we can pay $5 and that vehicle can stay at the site too. If there is interest let me know and I will check on it.

Basic recovery gear for HF - recovery strap and a shackle work. The other rigs there will have an ample amount of gear if needed. Then any camping specific equipment you want. Not sure if silverback is bringing the outdoor movie screen and projector or not.

We watch saving private Ryan at our paintball event every year when we are camping. The projector draws a crowd and I'm not so sure thats a great thing with some of the shady activities that are going on

I might drive down on Saturday and do Hidden Falls with y'all. No camping though. Depends if my suspension is here and installed by then. Skid and sliders have a 4-8 week lead time so definitely won't have those by this time unfortunately.
