September, Texas Tacomas, Beach Meet, Padre Island National Seashore

We will be going down and setting up camp around mile marker 10-15 depending on what trucks come with and what the conditions are like. We'll setup some poles to fish at night and might drive further down the beach to fish during the day. If you've never done surf fishing before, a 6'+ spinning rod will do the trick with 20-30lb test (make sure you set the drag right and use steel leaders).

It's near Medina Lake on the NW side of San Antonio. I didn't go last time, but I don't think it's too expensive.

I'm up for a meet, Gonna be hot as hell in August. I think that Timmer is going to be in town the weekend of the 24 &25th. Sean was sugesting Hidden Falls, but it make do difference to me where we go.

Cline Ranch is ok.. but you have to have a guide to wheel. It will be a HOT MOFO out there, last time it was miserable, hot and dusty! No water, of course if Andy goes we might be able to talk him into letting us swing by the lake house and get wet. Hidden Falls has a few more swimming holes, but of course if it gets too hot they will dry up as well.

Clyde is AC-less as well, it does make for a hot day. Also makes the beers go down that much faster.

I forgot about the Timmer Trip. That should probably be our August meet. Don't want to claim it as a TO meet though. Maybe we'll plan our first one in Sept instead.
