Bean & Cheese TACO!
Add me to the list. I just got a little 12ft boat and I will deff take that and my fishing poles. Maybe by that time I will have a hitch on my truck and I can use my grille that hooks up to the hitch.

Launching a boat Surf Side might be a little tricky unless the water is glassy like it sometimes is.

You could always drive to the end and launch in the channel, but that is some potentially very harsh terrain to pull a boat over

Boating:
Boating : While boating at Padre Island National Seashore, the park asks that you observe the following laws and guidance to ensure the safety of all visitors (including yourself) , to protect the park's natural resources, and to help everyone enjoy their time in the park.

Boats may be launched at Bird Island Basin and at Yarborough Pass Boat Ramp. No other launch areas are authorized.

Hard-sided, motorized boats may not be launched into the Gulf of Mexico. Soft-sided (Zodiac style) boats of twelve feet or less in length may launch into the Gulf, but only if they launch south of the 5 mile marker (the four wheel drive sign).

Personal watercraft (such as Jetskis, Seadoos, etc.) may not operate anywhere within the boundaries of Padre Island National Seashore.

Air boats and fishing boats which use air motors (flounder rigs) are prohibited in Padre Island National Seashore.

I'm not sure if you know that or not, but there are a few rules when launching into the surf.

And if you're going to launch at a boat ramp somewhere, make sure you have your chains crossed on your trailer, and wear your seat belt at ALL times. Even when you're unloading/loading your boat. I have heard that there is someone down there siting at the ramps giving tickets for these things.

Well my boat isn't really like a big boat or anything. its one of those little metal ones. Its like 3-4 feet wide. It doesn't have a motor. It runs on elbow grease. Is it still ok to bring? I kinda want to try and fit it in the bed of the taco. I think it might work if I clamp it down.
