Water is 8.3lbs per gallon and it gets heavy quick. I can carry 4 years worth of water filters in my chest pocket. Can't carry a weeks worth of water on my back.

Now apply the same theory to food supplies.

Weapons weigh a lot too. If I'm mobile I dont mind. I don't think my antenna on my copper helmet plays the same scenarios as yours!

Ive never prepped to shelter in place. Ive got multiple retarded family members spread out in two locations and they are my priority. I just packed for a extended camping trip to my favorite spot in bear territory I hopefully never need to go on.

Exact opposite of everyone that prob right now has freezers full of food and mine is full of air and ice.

My work sent out an email at 6p CST today - all employees at sites that are closed down due to state requirements are getting 90 days furlough, the company is maintaining and picking up their cost of their health insurance plan costs, and setting up a hotline to help people get unemployment benefits fast as possible. Thankfully that is not impacting me right now; but they are also delaying all raises and stopping 401k contributions until Oct 1.

Glad to be working and getting paid; but it still sucks.
