I cut my own hair, been doing it since 1992 when I was stationed at a remote site in Alaska and the barber on the base left for the summer (she couldn't take the amount of bugs).. so I bought some clippers and did it myself. Every now and then I'll get it done at Sports Clips or similar when I get lazy.

Last night I saw NYC telling people to please stop bringing dead people to the er. Said if no pulse - stay at home

We use a service called Shipt.. wife has been using it for maybe 8-9 months or so. It's easier as she doesn't have a lot of time to get out and hit the store... and if I go...well fuck.. we better bring the SD because I'm filling it up. But seriously, she put in an order yesterday.. delivered today. The woman who does her shopping is pretty much the same person every time. She will text her during shopping and show options of what is available (did this before SHTF). Its like $8 a month for the service and I'm sure there is a delivery fee. But IMO, its worth it.

Ok, just found out, the local H-E-B’s here have all the Shipt drivers under contract, the reason why I never see availability.

There is probably a 10 thousand folks on the HEB app, because when the next available day opens, in less than 2min all the delivery spots are gone. So a 90 mile drive for curbside pick up, or try your luck and play the game, stay on your phone all day and try and lock in appointment that’s 2-3 weeks out.

I’m not saying anything to anyone local here, because the HEB that Im going to, you can a grab curbside appointment in about 3 - 4 days out, good luck trying find anything close to that in the SA area. It is, what it is.

The irony here is you are going to end up in the hospital with a nervous breakdown and an ulcer chewing through your guts. At some point you have to treat this like a war - control what you can, fight where you can, but realize some people will die. There is nothing you can do to change any of that.

Once I understood that after Iraq my life changed for the better.

no worries here, I don’t let things bother me, I can’t control, I like to stay inform and it’s not like I haven’t posted any memes about this either, , I’m out enjoying the outdoors, off to painting the gazebo and working in the Victory Garden!
