If I was more enterprising I would make and sell face masks with the word H O A X on it. :)

And once again. I know it is serious. And it is important for us to take our health serious too.

If we took our personal health as seriously as the world took the 'scientists', this threat wouldn't be as serious.

...and once again when my body can't handle what the world, God, et al, throws at it, I will accept that my curtain call is here. :) :) :)

I am waiting for us to give 'Scientists' tax free status. ...the way the world blindly believes most anything said by the group, 'scientist,' it certainly qualify as a religion.

Well hopefully the next time ol' Nuesbaum goes up for re-election people remember this.

The voting block doesn't care. They hate the other team too much and the people driving the party will never pay for the damage they cause. Our damage fuels their bank accounts - both directly and indirectly.

The reports are out that China hid the extent of the coronavirus epidemic and hoarded supplies and removed 50% of those supplies from export.

China makes almost 80% of those medical supplies for us, America needs to wake the F up and produce our own shit, to include all those medications that are made over there.

History repeats itself, corporate Merica will keep manufacturing over there for more profits and another outbreak will happen just like the previous ones.

I've thought for years that we need to move production back to the states, and I'm not even that smart.

There are lots of people who are qualified (albeit lazy) who can sit in a chair and work on an assembly line. That would lower the unemployment rate and bring jobs back to America. Not to mention improve GDP. Might even help lower our debt, but we won't know until we try.

Going to be hard to get people to work when they can make more money staying home.

X2

Was at a kick off/restart Covid strategy meeting this morning for a 7 story building we are installing aluminum frames and glass into on every floor. I showed up early and listed to all the guys talking. Half were talking about reopening too soon and the other half were all trying to figure out how to rat out the jobsite so it would be closed down before it even opened up. Doubtful those conversations would be taking place if the same guys weren't making more money than normal when they are laid off. It pays not to play the game right now. Same guys bithcing and crying also the same ones not wearing proper PPE thus putting everyone else at risk over their ignorance. Fucking twits...1 guy gets sick in a building full of 70 other guys and those 69 guys get laid off when the job site is closed down. Time to think of others - not just yourself. Gys like me who have never been unemployed might now want to sit at home in quarantine nor can some of them afford it. 6 figure salary is nothing up here (trash men make it) and what you need to make less than for benefits so while some get paid well - they still need to work.

All I know is I'm doing my best to insure my guys that want to work get paychecks and are safe.

It is not a war crime the first time.

The plants I support are having similar issues. The people that work the floor and production lines figured out they can work the system for $25 an hour. Plus the company already said they are covering health insurance plan costs of anyone who get furloughed. These guys are signing up to get furloughed and then doing side work while they are "home".

People bitch about the corporations greed but when given the first chance those people do the exact same thing. One of the guys hit me up asking if I wanted any electrical work done around my house at a cash rate. I told him no and that if he approached me again I would report him.

Agree, but that doesn't make it right. There are too many lazy schmucks who are smart enough to play the system but not motivated to do anything useful for society with their "intelligence."

I've been behind people in the grocery store buying lobster, snow crab legs, salmon, grass fed steaks, etc. They eat better than I do (it seems)! I think food stamps is a joke. There should be a warehouse full of canned goods and you get to come pick out X number of cans of whatever you want per week. The cans should have no marketing or fancy packaging...just a white label with black letters describing the contents of the can (i.e. "CORN"). If you don't have transportation and/or can't come and get it for whatever reason, we'll pay someone (preferably someone on welfare) to drive you a pre-selected assortment of balanced meals that should last you a week.

Basically, I think we are wasting opportunities for people to have jobs. We also give little to no incentive to work. I think welfare should be used to help those in genuine need, but it should not provide any form of luxury. Give someone incentive to get a job so that they can afford those surf n turf meals.

Double dipping while stabbing themselves and the tax payers in the back because nothing is free in life. Bunch of twits...

it is what it is.... some people will be producers/money makers in life and some are just overhead that take take take. I learned from a good mentor long ago - never be overhead and always be the producer because producers are indispensable and overhead is available everywhere all the time
