Had a bad hangover, found a Covid mask that also cures the headache.

Looks like the cov-stupid is going for Round 2. California goes back a phase tonight. Texas Governor is already talking about partial shutdowns again. More schools around DFW are going back to online only. My local plant is going back to essential personnel only again. So I went ahead and stocked up on non-perishable items that we needed. The holidays are coming up and stuff is already getting tough to find. It will not take anything for stuff to go stupid again.

Time to get prepped for Round 2 of the stupid.

Yep. Sam's is darn near out of TP again. I had to settle for Angel Soft as that was all that was available at 2 different locations.

In case you were wondering, my hole prefers Charmin.

The basic paper items, cleaning supplies, and the bulk meat items are all already disappearing locally. I am thinking we will make good use of our freezer with stocking up on anything that can be frozen. Usually we would buy some bulk during the sales after Thanksgiving and Christmas but I doubt that will be happening this year.

just be thankful for any brand of TP, I remember my grandpa telling me, when they were kids, all they had to use was corn husks in the out house, great grandparents were poor tobacco and corn farmers.

Is that how it became known as the "corn hole?"

true or not thats the story Ill be telling next time I play it lol

decided yesterday I'm removing my horseshoe pits. I built myself a set of cornhole boards and washer boards years ago so they can fill in.

Pits never saw any action 5 years prior to covid and are in the way of where I surveyed for a fire pit location.

+ if I wanna play real bad I can simply drive some steaks into the ground then screw up my grass

I should have taken photos, but my friend came over the other day and he had his corn hole boards with him in his car. His brother-in-law is a high end finish cabinetry contractor in the Dallas area. He had built him a set out of repurposed bowling alley lane wood! Man talk about beautiful... and HEAVY! I bet the top was 3" thick or so.. the bottom wasn't a 90 degree angle, he had cut it to that it sat flat along the bottom front. Just awesome.

Co-worker has a Zoom meeting today with our CIO and he has to present. I told him he had to wear a mask as the CIO was a stickler for people not wearing one and he will call you out for not having it on.

House I grew up in my dad built the bar out of a old shuffleboard board. All that old thick laminated wood is cool for sure.

Fun times. My running partner tested positive this morning. Since we have already ran together twice this week I got flagged as a first hand exposure. Upside is I do not have to worry about Thanksgiving plans; down side is I am supposed to stay home for the next 14 days.

I have a friend that works for a company, the company is floating the idea around if you don’t get vaccinated you will lose your job, WTF?!?

I wonder how much of this is being floated around with other companies, talk about future litigation nightmares.
