How many hospitalized or dead?

So far 4 people I know have died and everyone had a preexisting condition or 2 or 3.

I haven't kept track of hospitalizations, but my old mentor is currently fighting for his life. Spoke to his wife to check on him/her today. They decided to go to a wedding being thrown in Mexico so that they could go around the covid restrictions.

From what she was willing to say it seems like one of those super spreader events with multiple infections. She has it and is fine. He is not.

Irony is that he's health and she's a trash animal. He eats good and hasn't smoked in decades. Shes an alcoholic smoker.

Think at least 3-4 people at my old work were hospitalized. They are also all morbidly obese and believed in heard mentality so.... they got what they wanted.

NJ has the highest morbidity rate for Covid in the world so....

Think 1 in 500 die here and almost everywhere else is 1 in 900+.

Airborne pandemic in the most densely packed state in the union.....stats pretty much prove the facts we already know. City's suck and so do crowds lol

Loss of life is always sad. On the other hand, death is inevitable. I have been having some chest pains lately and I hope it is anxiety - go figure. I told my homosexual lover last night that if I tell them to call 911 - don't try to save money thinking you will drive me to the hospital (our typical plan). I think I am in good health and time will tell. I do enough stupied shit to die from a great range of challenges.

Once a month I have been trying to get in for a physical since February (I want to get a colonoscopy as I am 10 years overdue). They reject me each time saying that if I have an emergency or chest pains to call 911. I will take my chances as I am HIGHLY allergic to hospitals and the Eye Our Ess.

I hope we all take care of our health as I think we will not be able to sustain high healthcare when it goes to gubbermint run. :)

That's horrible - good luck man! You can do a ton of monitoring yourself these days with tech so thats an option you can look into for relatively little $$. You might already own it - I know my Samsung has some apps for heart monitoring

I'd def have her and you freshen up on CPR/AED/First Aid training if you need to. Online courses are great if you pay attention. Never as good as hands on w/trainer and a dummy, but better than nothing.

and if your state doesn't offer you the healthcare you need - go elsewhere.

no one should be putting off chest pains. get checked asap. sure death is inevitable, but sometimes all you need is a little tweaking to keep that motor going strong another 20 years

my realtor her mother law died from covid, she did had some other health issues as well, that’s all I have known/heard, known plenty who have got sick though. My cousin ran fever for 3 weeks, and 6 weeks later he still does not have his lungs back to normal.

Not to sure of the contribution to suicide, drug abuse, alcoholism, depression, spousal abuse, child neglect, etc, but...

..and I'm not sure of how comorbidity plays into those numbers.

One difference covid-19 has over the flu is how long the effects last. Current studies are showing that ~7% of the people who lose their sense of taste and smell may never regain it. The depression rate associated with the loss of taste/smell is supposed to be over 50%. Even the breathing issues and muscle pains last up to 6 months after initial infection.

This covid stuff sucks.

People dying is bad. People living is good. It's simple. Doesn't matter what does it.

Are we going to start posting memes about how people still die from not using seat belts? lol

All the memes and craziness does no one any good.

Especially the ones posting them. You and my brother are speaking up about having anxiety issues & chest pains then doubling down on all the media crap.

Bet that meme traces back to some Iranian Army's interweb division and their goal is to spread distrust and divide us. My guess is thats literally propaganda from our enemies.

"Lets spread divisiveness and piss everyone off until we have a revolution that kills our democracy" ~ never said by any Patriot.

Our enemy's all are afraid of us (US citizens) because we can kick some major ass and are well armed - lets not make it easy for them by infighting.

We have bigger fish to fry than some stupid presidential race thats been over for months. Time to make sure Biden doesn't end up selling Xi the West coast lol

Blinding oneself with the past so you never see the future is their goal ~ China is planing 100 years ahead, coiled, and ready to spring

Mark my words....been saying it for years in here.

20% of all who have tested positive and never sought mental healthcare prior to Covid have needed such services after Covid.

One can not downplay almost 400k citizens dead w/o sounding tinfoil hat to me.

I just hope next election hinges on Cancer so we can finally get a cure for that instead of the super flu.

I think there is a lot being done/pushed that is political in nature only. The old adage of "never waste an emergency" is clearly being used here. I believe covid and other "regular" infections kill people. I used to work at a hospital and have seen/worked in real infectious control environments. The media/citizen distrust is well founded when people are questioning what they are being forced fed that makes zero sense.

Spent 2hrs consulting/planning with my old partner in crime from work. We have worked for three different boss's over the years going back almost 2 decades. He's a family guy with a degree in architecture and his wife's also an architect. Also morbidly obese and out of shape. He's about 4 days into popping positive - 6 days into symptoms

My old company I just quit is completely shuttered. Covid ripped through and no one took it serious so it took down all employees but two as of yesterday. Started a few weeks ago. He thinks the boss and two other people were coming to work spreading it. Can't get too much farther into it, but lets just say if you are a manager/owner/boss - do the right thing and just follow the fucking OSHA guidelines. They aren't that bad especially for those of you in the trades where safety standards are everyday practice.

Now there are over 20 people out of work, contracts not being fulfilled, employees hospitalized, infighting, employees looking to quit, & employees looking for blood from ownership. About as toxic as Ive ever heard and Ive heard allot of work campfire stories

:worship2: I got out when I did

Now I have people looking for my safety records.....yea I don't have any because I resigned as safety officer and refused to be the covid officer. I saw this shit coming a looooooooong time ago

Stack on some PPP fraud and that place is a dumpster fire

Double blind study with an alternative universe? Or only looking at the world we live in where damn near the whole world shut down with most people having their livelihood and social engagement being stripped away?

Or was that a study looked at the terrarium where the terrarium "owners" didn't insist that the Orange Man is bad and needs to be snuffed out at any cost?

Asking for a friend.

Everything is not an attack on Trump.

Everyone is not after you either.

If you were actually interested in learning about a new virus no one knows everything about and not just shutting down anything and everything thats not in line with your "Hoax" way of thinking you would of asked for it so here's the data anyway 1 in 5 People With COVID-19 Developed Mental Health Issue

I just though it was a good point to bring up seeing as most in here are already at a MUCH higher risk for mental health issues due to prior careers.
