Ironic that Amazon opened a brick and mortar store in New York City. They said if it does well they will open more. The cycle continues.

5 pages of BS, 2 pages of actual build, and 1 page of random links for upgrades....

That home built one might get to title before this one will, well probably not, but it will be close.

I'm trying! I hope to have an appointment on the 21st to get it inspected by a LEO so that they can give me a form 68a stating its not stolen and is in fact a kit. Then I can get plates and registration. So that means I need to finish up the suspension tonight or this weekend and get it on tires and then start the rewire.. which I hate rewiring shit. Oh well.. got to be done.

Ran out of red loctite last night while working on torquing the passenger side axle assembly to the suspension arm. Just picked some up, along with some blue. Also picked up self etching primer and some satin black spray for that shiny DeeZee box.

Oh progress was made. Need to install shocks and parking brake. Might tackle that tonight. Then the fun part, rewire the harness. But its on its own weight... no jackstands. Also loosely mounted one of the side boxes, they need to be painted yet. I need to build some internal structure for it to give it more strength. Probably a project for another weekend though. I like how the tires stick out a bit. Also ordered some black splined lug nuts... not matching McGard ones, those fuckers where over $100. Went with Gorilla ones for now just to get it going.

Yeah, its a bit taller than I thought.. I imagine it will settle once it gets loaded up. Worse case I pull the coils and cut a ring off.

Are you keeping the front jack with the wheel or swapping it for another one? Wheel wouldn't be my first choice for this particular application.

Not sure yet. I like the ability to move it around the garage on the wheel. I was looking at a different jockey wheel but with a pneumatic tire and a jockey wheel with dual wheels. With the parking brake I don't see the wheel as a hindrance but I want something a little beefier. Its got a block of wood in front of it because the parking brake isn't hooked up yet.

The thing I don't like about this jockey wheel is that you can take it off when you are trying to just rotate it to the travel position. I'd like one that was more secure. I saw one at the trailer parts store but I don't think its long enough <thats what she said> but it was nice, had dual tires and it locked in place without being removed.. also the handle locked into place. But for now this one will work.
