Beach Meetup.. swim, fish, watch other's get stuck..

Plan on getting drunk, watching the sun go away and possibly sleeping there.. Guess it depends on how windy it is (mosquitoes). Bianca and I will be fishing, and catching whatever we can.. If someone has a bad ass spot light (any will do), I can bring my generator and we can fish all night..

Yessir... I don't really have that much "surf" fishing gear, but I think I can manage. I tried there a few weeks back and kept having my pyramid weights wash back onshore. I think I need the ones with the wire spikes sticking out?

Depending on the seaweed, it almost doesn't matter how big your weight is.. But, casting way out there is important unless you like the little hard heads..

Yeah, like every other guy in the world (with a few porn exceptions) I think I probably need a bigger rod than I have so I can get that kind of distance. I'm fishing a 7' rod, I think.

I may be going down this Saturday if anyone is interested. They're calling for 5mph winds and 1ft seas, so I should be able to wade fish from the 2nd sandbar.

I just throw 30lb test on my biggest spinning real and use a 7' Shimano rod

Yeah, I was just up a bit late last night. I got to the beach about 11am today. People everywhere, bad fishing... but
beer was cold and it was good to be there regardless.

I plan to definitely be there. I have a yak as well, but it's really only for flatwater. Lyndall borrowed it to take to SLP last year, I think and it aparently made a better u-boat than fishing platform once he started trying to take on waves.
