Why are you selling your FJ?!?! Those are so collectible now since Toyota doesn't make them anymore. You should just park it in your garage under a cover and on jackstands to wait for the resale value to go up.

No joke. I saw one listed on FB locally for $30,000 because it only had 50,000 miles and was close to bone stock. Now I am wishing I had bought one back when they were affordable and held on to it for a bit.

Price is equal to milage and I drive 60 miles a day. So roughly 51k but ask me around noon and that will go up.

Yota didn't make the FJ it was one of their subsidiaries.

Let me start off by saying no I'm not getting rid of the FJ!

My wife's Crayola was just totaled out. We both have the USAA additional 20% value coverage which is a good thing. She has been wanting a Subaru for a while now. I now this is a long shot but does anyone know anyone at a dealership that might get us a deal on a new one?

In conclusion FUCK NO I'M NOT GETTING RID OF THE FJ!!!!!!

My wife has been looking at all different types of suv's to include the Suby.
All I can say is the Suby is half the cost of a Lexus GX or new Tahoe and the Suby's hold up well mechanically.

My MIL just totaled her new 2017 Suby and she was fine... hit her knee on something. But still able to walk fine.

Good for her...well the being safe part.

I'd bet the Subaru has a higher resale % than those and a higher safety rating.

Guy at my work who got a Subaru Legacy when I got my Impreza just traded it in for a Forester. He couldn't stand the stiff/harsh ride of the Legacy (all their cars are stiff including mine IMO) and was racking up miles driving to Boston every other week. Only other SUV he test drove was the Lexus and he said it drove like Poo. I remember when he bought the Legacy he initially wasn't happy with it being plane jane, but once he saw the price and ride difference ha came back to Subaru and got an even more plane jane Forester. He's a salesman so he was looking to impress clients, but got over that stigma especially when he got a smoking deal on a 2107 they used as their service loaner car.

2 co-workers have newer Foresters and they do ride stiff.

It's the stupied youth movement to HUGE wheels with lowpro tires. Ive had a new set of smaller wheels and larger winter tires in my tirerack account multiple times and never pulled the trigger. Going to need to figure it out soon - my OE tires are pretty much bald at 36k.

28" Swampers would look bitching on a Subi.

When I was young and had my license my mom bought a new 1985 Honda Civic Wagon AWD. That fucking thing would go through some snow as well.

Growing up I had a buddy with a Ford Escort that was FWD and we would go all over the trails. We'd stuff my little Honda 80cc trike and 125cc fat cat in the back of it and head to the pits. Back then we would also take our guns and some booze. Those were the days....when one wouldn't get shot by the police or arrested for a little fun in the woods. These days....we would be on the news as terrorists.

Better to ask forgiveness than permission. I say "Go for it!" @tx_shooter volunteered his plasma cutter. I have an air-over-hydro tube bender. Weekend project. :)
