No problem; I was really hoping it would include chainsaws and winches but I guess I will just have to pay regular retail.

Axes are tax free but chainsaws aren't? I fail to see the logic.
Yep same here. What defines a ladder as a "emergency ladder" and not a regular ladder? Don't all ladders in an emergency become an "emergency" ladder? lol

Kalifornia would never do such a thing since they probably make 20% on all Federal Assistance when deployed during their next earthquake. I gueas they figure, why pay for it when there ar 49 other states that would/will share the burden?

Looking over the list; this could be a good weekend to pick up a fire extinguisher and first aid kit for my 4Runner.

I like the Adventure Medical kits. I have the Weekender in the 4Runner and a bigger one at the house. I ordered them online but you should be able to find them locally. Think they're carried at most sporting goods stores.

All you need for a first aid kit is whiskey, duct or electrical tape, paper towels, and super glue.

I picked up a fire extinguisher for the kitchen and an Eastwing long handled ax at Home Depot this morning.

Are all coolers tax free or only the ones that are less than $75? I have been wanting to pick up a Bison Cooler.

Not sure; might have to check with the individual store on that. When I picked up my stuff at Home Depot this morning they automatically knocked the tax off.

Which Bison cooler do you want? I might know where to get them at cost... :shifty:
The 24 can softpak or the 50qt. My wife oked the Bison over the Yeti. She found out that the owner of Bison was a former SWA employee.

I'll see what price I can get on them. Think the place only carries the coolers and not the soft packs. Got my 75qt for $300. 50qt I would think would be close to $250.

That's one heck of a nice rarilty...... A gubment who actually wants you to be self sufficient and promotes it. NJ would do the opposite so they could make money just like Rodger's CA statements.

Well it is Texas and we like to handle things ourselves. Even my subdivision has a Plan B group that can handle a few basic emergencies without having to call for outside help.

Waived to my neighbor for 4 years until I decided to stop because the kindness was never returned (I live in a court).

Plan B is NJ = everyone for themselves.

Only guy in my court who is worth a lick and I'd think of teaming up with is a retired sheriff who's son is a lieutenant in our local PD.

My neighbor directly nextdoor and my buddy about a mile away are the ones I'd bug out with when/if that time comes. I like the idea of a group in the neighborhood. There are a few guys around here I would want in the group. One is an ER Dr, the other is a Constable.
