Yes Sir, you must have a compatible dimmer switch that is rated for CFLs and LED's

There are tons of old dimming switches in older homes and Not complaint to use with LED's or lower voltage than intended to.

Since LED's use much less voltage, new dimmer switches were made in the past 5 or so years to be more adaptable/sensitive to the lower voltage requirements of the use of LED's

Well I need a new dimmer switch anyway. One of the knobs is missing. I'll look for one that's LED compatible.

Got my mom's kitchen, dining room & office tore out yesterday. Today is her masterbath room.

Doing anything unique on this remodel on the kitchen? I want to do mine in the next year and gathering ideas right of things I want.

Not really. It'll just be really high end cabinets, appliances and tile. My mom doesn't have a ton of space to play with.

The cabinets that were in the house are from the 80's and still look good. I'm going to reuse the old cabinets for her rent house remodel to save a ton of money.

I have been wanting a chainsaw for a while but not wanting another high maintenance part time tool. After watching the reviews on the Ego line of power yard tools I finally picked up a 16" chainsaw last weekend. I charged the battery over night and tested it out today.

With a little adjustment it ran great, smoothly cut down the stump and cedars I put it against, and was easy to handle one or two handed. While it may not be a high power professional chainsaw there is nothing about this chainsaw that did not work well today.

Now I get to use the 4Runner to pull the cut trees up to the trailer this weekend hopefully.

Nice! I've been thinking about getting one of these to keep in the truck when I go wheeling on trails (not have to worry about taking gas) or for small tree trimming when I don't want to have to fire up the gas chainsaw.

Those were the two main reasons I wanted it. I do not do a lot of tree cutting around my house and I do not have to deal with gas when on the trails. They have a 14" version that is about $50 cheaper and extremely well rated as well; but I wanted the 16" because 'Merica. I am looking to get one of the string trimmers next month.

As a bonus I am looking to see if I can figure out a way to use these batteries for portable power when camping. These batteries store a lot of power so if I can tap into them it would be a great for camp use.

Problem is they are 56 volts.. you'll need something to bring that down closer to 12v.

Yeah; that is the part to be worked on.

A solar charge controller may bring it down to 12 volts. Not sure it can work with voltage that high though.

DC step up transfomer, 12 to 56 not to expensive ~$50 but probably a very slow charge rate, which is ok also

Pretty cool. I was looking at the Dewalts last week. I have (2) gas saws that work great but was thinking of them for off grid/solar charged/no need for a run to town for gas type deal. No matter what saw you get they will still most likely cause a mess due to the bar oil.

So far this saw has been impressive. It gets up to full "throttle" quick, cuts nice and easy, and adjusting the chains is simple to do. I cut down a decent cedar with it in no time with it. Now I need to get the 4R hooked up to drag the tree out.
