I thought it was a great burnSorry, I was only trying to join the reindeer fj game that others started.

On heavily wooded trails in the Sierras, I carry a cordless on (2 cycle - with a small gallon container).Nice! I was thinking it might be a good idea to pickup a cordless one for the trails. Then all you'd need is oil for the chain and not have to lug around 2-cycle fuel.
Yeah I just figured you could also charge the batteries on the trail or at night too.On heavily wooded trails in the Sierras, I carry a cordless on (2 cycle - with a small gallon container).![]()
I am still looking into a way to use the battery for a power station type setup. As for this morning I was cutting down trees and brush for about 3 hours; so it probably saw 45-60 minutes of continuous use. I was not 100% sold on the purchase when I did it but I am now. I plan to purchase their string trimmer after Christmas.
In springtime, it is not unheard of to have 15" or larger diameter trees blocking a trail.Yeah I just figured you could also charge the batteries on the trail or at night too.
I'm tempted to pickup a DeWalt trimmer when my Stihl low torque one dies. It's overkill for my lawn and it barely gets used now that I don't have to clear jobsites or mow commercial properties anymore.
I have no doubt this chainsaw would handle a 15" hardwood tree with a moderately experienced person operating it. One of the reasons I went electric was to get away from the mixed gas issues around the house and to reduce the amount of stuff I would need on the trail later. My next purchase will have a battery also so when I take the chainsaw on a trip I will have the 2 batteries for it. If I find myself in a situation where there is a lot of cutting to do I can start topping off the charge on the second battery so as to not have down time between battery recharges. I really want to make sure to have a way to have extra uses for the batteries on the trip so as to not have single use items taking up space and weight.
Chainsaws are cool.

Are you a chainsaw salesman? I want to buy one of those electric ones right now!!!Forgot to mention that this chainsaw runs smooth enough that my hands do not hurt after using it all day. That is pretty big for me since I have busted up both hands before; they do not like heavy vibration. I had a 4 stroke string trimmer once but had to get rid of it. The vibrations left my hands in bad shape for days.

Chainsaws are cool.
