Texas A&M new construction master-plans What could A&M look like in the 2030s? New master plan adopted

Replaced a couple sprinkler heads(40ft reach) this morning, spent more time and little bit more money to winterize/insulate them, then 3in sch.40 pipe cover as well. I will probably add a little bit of clear chaulk on the rim on a later date and maybe paint the one on the driveway.

I like that idea to winterize them. I tend to lose 2-3 sprinkler heads every year due to cold weather. I will have to put this on my list of things to do this summer.

Finished up with some outdoor led lighting in back yard flower beds (started yesterday), then today 25bags of mulch, need about 8 more bags of mulch and 2 more led ground lights.
No more work today... TIRED, no more workie, can't mow grass will burn up and I don't need any more $200 water bills

I remember this, I had to bust ass to get it done while I was studying for a CPA exam...and then the baby doesn't sleep in there until they're over 6 months old. But mama gets what mama wants and they want their nursery done 3 months before baby gets there!

Nope. It's more comfortable than it looks, though, it's definitely nap-capable.

Cut to size, liquid nailed and grouted in a few pieces of tile trim around a kitchen cabinet. Put in a piece of wood base on the side to match. Just need to caulk and paint that wood base trim.

Wired up an access point in the shop, being all metal building the wireless boosters didn't seem like the best option for extending the wireless from my house to the shop which is roughly 150 feet away. Ran a 250 ft length of cat6 ethernet cable from my existing router out into the spare chase and to the shop. While I was in there I also ran a length of RG6 cable for tv if I ever decide to mount one out there.

You can use this as a wireless access point or a booster depending on how you configure it

Need to build a shelf for the stereo and router, just sitting on top of the speaker for now

I now have both 2.4 and 5GHz in the shop

So last year I bought some LED replacement bulbs for my T8 fixtures in the garage. Well then I found out I have to rewire each fixture and I didn't want to go that BS. Well I just saw these a few weeks ago and bought a set. SUNCO 6 Pack T8 LED Tube Light 4ft 48", 18W, 5000K Kelvin Day Light, 2000 Lumens, Works WITH or without a Ballast! Fluorescent Replacement Lamp, Clear Cover, UL, DLC Plug and Play, 2 Sided Connection - - Amazon.com

No rewiring required... granted it daytime but they appear bright enough. I only bought 6 bulbs to start with but I like them enough that I bought 6 more and I'll swing by HD or Lowes and grab 2 more fixtures and put them up somewhere. Anyhow, not bad for the price and each bulb is a claimed 2000 lumens. Not the T5HO's that I wanted to do... but they will work. And save a little $ as well. I also pulled off the diffusers, they were more or less just bug catchers.

My sammich maker pointed out to me that most of the garage bulbs were burnt out earlier in the week. I ordered a set of these LED replacements and am very happy with how much light they put out. Thanks for the heads up on them.

Over at my mom's house, I was walking upstairs from the garage to get some water from the kitchen fridge and noticed that the paint was cracked and there was a water line in the sheetrock. After standing back, I realized the whole sheetrock ceiling was bowed down. F**k! so I grabbed a ladder and cut a small hole in the sheetrock. Water poured out like a stream. So I tore out all of the wet sheetrock. Turns out the seal around the master bathroom has failed and was leaking in two spots. So I get to tear up her new tile floor to reseal the flange and redo the sheetrock below it.

So many times I hear of these issues..... almost always in bathrooms from around the 60's - current. Seems everyone forgot how to do things right.

I was so afraid of screwing up a wet bed type shower I did a pan in mine and just tiled all the walls above it. Sure it would of looked much better had the floor been tile, but I wasn't risking it and thats after I put down Shluter on top of all the concrete board and plywood floor.
