Genie garage door opener on the main side of the garage is taking a shit. 2.5 years old, builder grade I guess. Fucking thing won't shut the door all the way. Leaves it open about an inch or 2. Its getting worse. I can manually push the down button on the opener to make it go down further, but the 'memory' function is not working. So, off to Home Depot and I picked up a 1.25 horse Chamberlain with battery backup, wifi and an app so I can tell if its open from anywhere on my phone. Even close it or open it remotely. Now the conspiracy theory side of me says thats not good, someone can hack it. Well if they really want in, I'm sure there are easier ways than trying to hack my garage door opener. I may be wrong. I love the idea of being able to check it from work. There have been many mornings on my way to work where I think.. did I shut the door? It has an autocloser on it, but it has an override ability (if you want it left open longer than 5 minutes or 10 minutes, the next iteration is leaving it open all the time). Anyhow, once the horn is fixed thats next. Busy day.

Nice will probably upgrade when my go out, I've looked at those in the past.

I have to order an overhead Tension spring, it blew out last week sounded like isil was in my garage.

Built this table for the man cave today. Used a bed frame that someone left in the hallway of my friends apartment. Cut some cedar 1x4 for the slats.

Yes there is...however its a little high for my basset hound to go in and out of. Former owner put it in and his dog was probably a little more agile than mine.

Well the bathtub in the master has a clogged drain. Wonderful. Ordered one of those barbed plastic flexible rods that is about 20" long. Fingers crossed it gets the clog. Not a fan of pouring draino down it. But that is option B. Anyone got any better suggestions?

No but that's a good idea. Thanks. I figured Michael has plenty of experience with this. All the rental properties they have.

My shower gets clogged a few times a year.
Remove drain cover. Grab a wire coat hanger and unfold it so its one long wire. Fold it in half and put the bend in a drill chuck. Slightly bend the ends out that will go into the drain. Shove it down and turn on the drill. I get large amounts of my wife's hair when I do it.

Very easy. I typed that and told myself I need to do mine. 10 minutes later and I am done. needle nose pliers work well to pull the hair off the hanger so you can use it next time.

Added some more Wall-Control galvanized pegboard panels to the garage. Need to get some more pegboard accessories. As well as some LED lights for that area of the garage. But I like this stuff.
