Got my new chainsaw chains in and swapped it out. Also took some time to go a general clean to the chainsaw.

Spent 6 hours picking up the garage and putting stuff up to get ready for the teardown and to start some house projects.

OK so you killed the term "BJ" for the rest of my life.... WTF

That "family" makes me sick if you can call it that.

Well my mom had a tree company get rid of two massive 40' pine trees out of my yard. One was half dead and the other was right next to the driveway and kept shedding on our cars and covering them in pine cones & needles. It was also a high risk of falling over on my house in a bad storm. I got the tree guys to leave the trunks of both trees so I can have firewood to burn and I'm giving half of it to my brother so he can use it for boyscout retreats.

Nice. I just girdled a oak in my yard. I took about 20 out when I bought it 11 years ago. Previous owner had no idea and just let things grow wherever they sprung up. Ill take this one down in fall and it should be the last. I need to start planting some back and should of 11 years ago. Would of been nice and big by now.

Good choice. I just used my Stihl last night to cut up 2 trees I lost in the storm yesterday. I have 2 more trees waiting for me to cut up when I get home. It's been awhile since I ran a chainsaw dry on fuel. I'm sure my neighbors were happy I had to stop cutting because it got dark. lol

Nice!!!When I store mine for a long period, I'll drain the chain oil and fuel out. It keeps the leaks down.

Good one. Probably would of saved mine from leaking bar oil. Ive never bought bar oil in my life - I use my used motor oil. I bet leaving it in is why the gaskets failed and it pours it out now.

Nope, I use motor oil as well bar oil (I used to have a steady supply of random half-filled oil bottles when I worked on jobsites that I'd take home and mix together for bar oil). I haven't ran used motor oil through it yet but if I did, I would run the used motor oil through a rag first to catch any metal shavings that could tear up anything.

another step I skipped. OK - I guess it's 100% my fault for my leaking bar oil lol

Note to self when I get a new saw.....stop being a cheap lazy ass

Not sure where to start. Been in this house 3 1/2 years and have been telling myself to plant some of the empty flower beds. Finally did it this weekend.
Trimed trees and took a trailer full of limbs to the dump, trimed brushes, cleaned out flower beds (16 trash bags of shit), planted 5 rose bushes, 2 box woods, 12 decorative grass, 6 of some orange flower bush, and filled some planters with flowers. Topped it off with 20 bags of mulch. Also put down some decomposed granite for this covered spot I made for the grill. Only made 2 trips to Lowe's and spent less than $400 so it seems like a win.
Now I'm sitting down with a cold beer watching the fire pit burn some of the shit I cleaned up.

You planning to sell the place?

In our old house we did a shit load of upgrades <might have spent 10k in about 3 months on it> and then within about 3 months we decided to sell it. :)

Exactly what my electrical superintendent did at work. Although he didn't end up selling his house in the end due to oil field layoffs
