Looks like the master closet will be getting a make over sooner than later. Had a 12' long rod on top (LOADED with wifes clothes) snap in two and pulled two of the brackets off the wall! Not sure what she was hanging up there but I think its time she throws out some clothes. Going to start looking at those closet organizer things and have Container Store come out and design something (apparently the do it for free). In the meantime I'll re-attach the brackets to the wall and use some 1.25 x .120 wall tubing for the bar. :)

NOT going to Container Store. Wife went today and prices start at $4500 for what she wants. No fucking way. Found a nice deal at Home Depot but its still about $1600. Fuck.

Not the controls but have done heads, valves and stuff like that.

Yeah, I'm good with that stuff.. but its the shitload of wiring that concerns me. I guess I should just give it a shot and then if its fucked up hire someone. Can't be too hard.

Anyone ever swapped out their sprinkler system controller? Seems easy enough.. or so they tell you.

Nope, but I have a Rachio that I need to install. It's been a really good paper weight for a while now. Doesn't look like that many wires....IIRC, it's basically a power, ground, neutral, and a wire per zone.

Curious how it goes. I need to do mine.

Swapped mine to a Rachio. No problems. I don't remember much off hand, but just follow the directions and label the wires as you take them off (to keep the zones in the right spot)

You mean your controller got messed up with the contractors broke your lines from next door?

No I just want a new one, one that is easier to operate manually (ie I don't have to stand in front of it and try to read the microscopic writing on the dimly lit black and gray screen)

I'll make you a good deal on an unused 8 zone :)

I bought one at HD a few years ago, wifi with app for phone, can't recall the brand, normally $200 on clearance for $60. Got it home and saw the fine print... 8 zone. Fuck. Back to HD it went.

This. The newer ones with an app to control it, I will be upgrading a 16zone myself when I find time

Good thing I have a big air compressor. My hands are cramped up just from holding the nozzle to blow all this shit up. Had I used my lungs I’d be dead. LOL

Just filled up all our floaties a couple days ago. Our swan didn't survive the winter. Hole in the head and one wing

Currently in the middle of a closet restoration my self. I have learned I hate drywall work! This was our old closet. Pushed the back wall 5' into the living room that was wasted/unused space. One more cost of mud, texture then ready for paint. Trying to decide how I want to lay it out. Right now it's just a 7'x14' square.

You mean rectangle. 7x7 is square.

Well... well.. fuck. TV.. turned it off 2 days ago. Went to turn it back on maybe 30 minutes later and nothing. Unplugged, let it sit... plugged back in and nothing. Tried a different outlet... nothing. Tried this again yesterday and this morning. Nothing. Thought TV was dead. So I went and bought the new one. Now.. tonight, me the the neighbor are in the garage drinking a few beers (no TV as I didn't want to fuck with hanging the new one just yet) and the wife and little one come out to talk to us. Well the power went out for about 4 seconds... came back on and I'll be damned .. the TV turned on!! Unfucking real. I would have sworn it was dead. I'm sure the old one is on its last leg. Its spent almost 5 years in a garage. Wife was like "great you can take the new one back!".. no no.. I don't think so. Gonna keep. I think I'll look into mounting the old garage TV on the patio for now. Just not sure.. it is not meant for outdoors by anymeans. Plus its on its last leg I do believe. So to put it outside would just mean I have a dead TV on the patio by end of Summer. Wife is really not happy I'm keeping it since I have one that works. But you know damn good and well I would take it back. Then Memorial Day sales are over and it would really die.

That sucks but I would keep it too. I plan to have a TV in the garage at the next house.

Don't you just have it when you take down a TV and it breaks? lol
