When I bought this turd it had the following doors: front, back, side, slider in kitchen next to back pivot door, slider in a bedroom, slider in the master bedroom. So far Ive gotten rid of two sliders and that pivot door is the last door to go by by. No idea why they wanted 7 ways to egress from 1100 sqft rancher?

Close. Brought home a demo chipping hammer from work. Got on the roof and started at 7:30am....F&c*ing thing doesn't even hammer/work. Typical at my job sadly. I started demo by hand and got it below the roof line quick. Then it started freezing rain/sleet. With my deadline of 7am tomorrow looming and being 100% certain it was not tied into the house I grabbed 50' of 30k strap and pulled it over with the Subaru. Getting the area cleared in the wet snow sucked but shes done and I'm inside eating lunch then demo in the basement starts. Where that door is Ill be infilling that then framing for two large windows. Same size as the POS above the AC unit - thats also being replaced. Then the house gets resided. I really haven't done anything in 10+ years and now it's time to get this shit done.

Old? Dang millennials... House is only 15 years older than I am. It is clad with asbestos though lol

I had no idea what was involved with today's task. Very glad I did my due diligence and hired pro's. The foreman said they will be here past 5pm, but it wasn't nearly as bad as he thought it would be from the pics he saw lol

I was also pretty surprised my old hot water heater that I turned off yesterday kept my water steaming hot 24hrs after it had been turned off. I was thinking my shower this morning would of been lukewarm at best.

lol thats a good one. House hasn't had proper gas heat from the furnace in 2 years - I'm fine either way.

Forman just informed me the two returns I have are not enough. He doesn't want to add another, but he said it's needed. Apparently the salesman's gonna get his hand slapped cause they need to get more ducting delivered.

Finally got around to putting a proper seasoning on my cast iron griddle, large pot & lid and a small pan.

I love this stuff. Already put it on my grates on my new oven then cooked it in while doing my burn off of the oven chemicals. https://www.amazon.com/Camp-Chef-Pr...ocphy=9007231&hvtargid=pla-308879816088&psc=1
I just season with Flaxseed oil to get a good base layer and then I use olive oil once I'm done cooking . It's been holding up great so far. I've been following Cowboy Kent Rollings recommendations for cleaning the cast iron as well and it's worked out great.

If you use it weekly you'll be fine. If you are like me and might use it 2-4 times a year you should grab some of the stuff I linked because it doesn't turn rancid and olive oil can.

If you leave anything on the iron that can turn rancid like Olive oil it can cause anything cooked in it to taste like poo Good Oils Gone Bad: Recognizing Olive Oil Defects

Good news is all your work is not for haste. Just need to cook it hot and burn in some of the stuff that doesn't turn bad.

When I first got cast iron I was putting paper towels in between them and coating them in olive oil. It didn't taste good. Then I found the Camp Chef stuff and it's magical

Gotcha. Yeah on my long term items, I heat them up, wash em in hot water, dry it and re-oil it with fresh oil before I cook with it.

lol, Gross on any frozen burritos!

We have a family rule, that we never eat Mexican Food outside of Texas, I think frozen burritos are on that forbidden list as well.

Also the toilet seat that came with it was garbage so I bought a new one with the soft close feature. For an extra $8 I got one with a night light for more accurate 2am pisses without having to turn the bathroom light on. It was a well spent $8.
