Yeah I've hated that tree since I first looked at the house. Glad its finally gone so I dont have to look at it anymore. Have a couple of more to cut down in the backyard today. And now that I look at that picture, I need to get the solar screen put back on that other window.

Just got a $300 "reward" visa prepaid credit card from Lennox in the mail. I was told upfront this was a current sales promo and it was listed on my quote so I knew it was coming but it still annoys me that people actually fall for this crap. Just charge me $300 less upfront and Ill trust your brand more. Start playing games with my money and it's just another ignorant marketing scam to me

Toilet in my mom's rent house cracked last night. As soon as I pulled the toilet up, I heard a metal "Ping" and I knew instantly what had happened. Fucking brass toilet flange had the screw pull through and was loose. And of course the whole base was completely un-level from past shitty contractors so I worked until 10:30PM last night just getting the flange base level enough. Gonna go back over after work and drill in some new concrete anchors so I can remount the flange. Then hopefully I can install the new toilet.
Just another shitty fucked up job on a 70+ year old house lol
And the fucking Chinese 'brass' ones are plated steel - last about as long as my elocker did each of the 3 times it failed! lol And when I show 70 year-old homes, I personally like ones that have not been 'improved,' since most 'improvements' are complete hack jobs!!!

Well shit. I'll have to scratch one of those next time to see if it's steel underneath.
But this house was stripped down to the studs and rebuilt. So it's definitely been improved. It has modern wiring, Central A/C and actual insulation now! lol
I had a contractor I used to trust take care of this job for me since I was so busy elsewhere. But I ended up finishing it and am paying for not doing it myself now.

Picked up two of these at Home Depot yesterday. Man I like them alot! Husky 78 in. H x 48 in. W x 24 in. D 5 Shelf Steel Unit-MR482478W5 - The Home Depot

Right now they are mainly holding all the camping gear out of the trailer until I get back on that and complete it. But they are nice, very solid and wire mesh shelves, no sagging particle board shit.

Yeah those are nice, I have one of those, it’s cool cause you can purchase additional shelves if needed, but it may cheaper to part out a whole new unit. but I really need about 3 more shelves for the commercial racks I have, or another complete section and then part it out to the other racks.

I setup the Xbox one X that Santa brought my youngest boy yesterday and I’m having video issues with it going through the Denon receiver, I have updated the software in the receiver and tried the various video format settings, just not what the issue is... I had to reset the whole unit to the factory default because I was messing with different video and hdmi inputs/outputs and I somehow got it stuck on a incompatibile resolution and I couldn’t see the setup options on the TV. This seems to be a common problem on Denon receivers when I was reading about others on a game forum having the same issue after connecting a Xbox. More reading and research on my part to find the fix.

Don't know man.. I had my XBox One connected to the Denon receiver in my media room for a while and no issues. XBox got moved out to the garage where it was connected to a second Denon receiver without issue. That Denon was moved and a Yamaha was put in its place, again no issues. How old is your Denon receiver? Might be an incompatible HDMI version or something. I know when I went 4k I had to retire my old Denon 3808 CI receiver because it didn't do HDMI pass-though and I wanted that.

About 4yrs old it’s the 2300model, it has the pass through and to support 4K etc... I change out cables etc. I’ll have to look more into it.
It’s possible that the HDR pass through is not working correctly.

Welp... put down earnest money on a new construction build.

So my home maintenance / need for tools requirement should go down. There are several things that need to be fixed, but builder should be taking care of those before we close.

So my question to ya'll: what size fridge should I buy?

All other appliances are Whirlpool stainless. I measured the cabinet space around the fridge at 38.5" wide and about 24" deep. I didn't measure height.

Most of the refrigerators at home depot are around 35" deep. That's close to a whole foot sticking out!

I'd like to keep it under $2200. Found a side by side for 1200 that we both likedthat is a 24.6cu ft...

This is the one I bought. I got it for about $150 cheaper than it is currently due to a 4th of July sale. I love it. Way too big for just the two of us but it fills the space nicely and I dont have to have a separate beer fridge. I was told to buy bigger than I thought I would need and it was only a couple hundred more than ones a lot smaller.

I did counter top depth fridges for my last two (Bosch and a GE Cafe). I like how they don't stick out but they do lack the volume the larger ones have. I still have the Bosch and its in the mudroom so that is the only good thing. We've always had 2 fridges but if I was to only have one, a single counter top depth might be a challenge due to storage.

My concern right now is it sticking out too far. There are several that I like. I just don't want to bump into the fridge everytime I walk past it... or look at it and think of a fat girl trying to fit into skinny jeans.

The cabinet surround is 24" deep and I remember thinking 26-28" would look good.

I may eventually put one in the garage, but it'll be a while before that happens. The garage is 24' deep and I have a lot of crap to fit in that extra space.

When we got the Bosch fridge we immediately realized we needed more fridge space. A trip to the local appliance store and we walked out with a 26 cubic foot cheapo for like $220. After I got the GE Cafe I put the Bosch in the cheapo ones place and gave it to a buddy of mine, Its still working after like 10 years or more.
