Anyone got any recommendations on receivers?

I'm going to grab these up for my deck and want something that can just run them and is cheap. Speakers are 8 ohms and call for 75 watts cont.

I'd prefer to not spend more than $150 and it has to have bluetooth. Sony, Yamaha, and Pioneer all have two channel systems that fit the bill, but Ive been out of the audio scene pretty much my entire life so no clue if one brand is better or if they are all just junk from China at my price range so I should just flip a coin.?.

Yamaha.. I have all Denon receivers at the house but last year I swapped out the Denon in the garage for a Yamaha. Man that thing sounds great! The Denon still works I just wanted Bluetooth. Most likely move the Denon to the back patio some day.

they do sell some 6 channel bluetooth 600w amplifiers for around $130 and you can use 8 or 4 ohm marine speakers

All the speaker I'll ever need outside and it's portable.

Look on Amazon at the OontZ audio stuff. I have one I use at home and one mounted in my toolbox at work. They are descent, cheap and durable. Sound is pretty good too.

Drew gave me a pair old house speakers, I think they have at least 12" subs in it, and I power with an old receiver out in the 3 car, it will get loud.

I have the Ultimate Ears Wonderboom and the one that has Alexa built in as well. Love them, they sound great. Plus I can throw either in the pool! Not that I do that... but they are on the side of the pool. They are the reason I have not got any outdoor speakers like those Klipsch above, no reason to.

I had two of these last year, they are Bluetooth and will pair up as a stereo pair. Sounded great. But they only lasted a year outdoors. :( Bummer because the price was right and they sounded great.

Edit: I see these are the 2019 version.. mine were 2018. These may last longer.

I like my Onkyo receiver paired with my Klipsch speakers. No idea what price is on them now though.

Of the ones you mentioned, @Oswego , I'd go with the Sony or Yamaha.

I need a receiver for AM/FM radio (majority of my listening) and to play Bluetooth (minority). I have very specific needs. I looked at a component type system, but do not want to spend the cash on multiple items.

I have multiple battery operated speakers, but they don't fit the bill of what I want to do. Getting tired of setting up radios, phones, and or speakers every time I want to sit outside and enjoy some tunes. After 15 years I just want to hit a couple buttons and listen for the next 12+ hrs uninterrupted and w/o batteries going dead and w/o fear of rain or snow.

Ill never have any listening devices in my domicile so all those Alexa type systems are out. The only way I want this connected to the outside world is through the electric cord and radio waves

Ill just grab the Yamaha and call it a day. My best buy rewards are expiring from my kitchen appliances so I need to use it or lose it today.

Something else worth mentioning about my Onkyo. I'm sure others have this option as well. It can simultaneously play 2 zones. I can play 7.2 surround with Dolby Atmos in one room and still power 2 speakers in another room (i.e. on your back porch). 1 receiver to cover 2 areas. You can upgrade your living room audio at the same time, though that is a little more expensive. I think mine is the TX-NR646 and is a few years older now, so you might could score a pretty sweet deal somewhere.

I have no audio systems ~ Told you I was anti tech but maybe no one realizes how anti tech (crazy) I am lol

I only have a $100 sound bar/sub on my living room TV because I blew out the speakers on my TV

My dream is to retire to the land of no cell service and live of the grid.

It doesn't have to be connected to the internet and can be used as a dumb receiver that can power both indoor and outdoor speakers. It's not that much tech.

Then forego the purchase altogether and put the money into cabin build.

Or, just do what this guy says.

The voice of reason as always lol

I don't want to lose my $25 rewards - and thats how they get ya lol

I did listen slightly and took the middle ground on the squirt gun build. 5.56 ended up being $2,400 less than a 6.5 or 308

I allegedly had my cabinet shop make me a new 45"L x 22"Wx 1-1/8"T edge-banded shelf for a cabinet. We don't make cabinets over 42"W anymore since the shelfs start to sag with weight on them which is what happened here. I cut and installed some bands to support the new shelf so it can hold more weight (which takes away the shelf's height adjustability but that doesn't bother me since I've never moved itlol). I also put a 2"x4" in the center to help support the weight in the middle of the shelf.
This is a pic without the cabinet doors. I also blacked out my name on the tools on the bottom shelf.
