I must have been confused (long week) ~ I was posting the code in reference to the flex pipe.
I would of just sealed the hole with PVC glue![]()
Same here!
It's not to codeThen ask him to prove it “no, it’s not to code...”
You work by many regulations and guidelines correct?
Schedule 40 drain pipe, residential repair, house on septic, and not located within a mud dist or under any city ordinances.
It would take twice as much if not more force to penetrate that patch, it’s forever bonded with PVC cement, even after removing the hose clamp, verses any where else on that pipe sidewall where it would be single wall.
But remember, it's not what's written in the code book but how the inspector interprets the written code! Inspectors don't care about your interpretation of the code book and they wouldn't sign off on that fix because they can't guarantee that it won't leak in the future. If it ever did leak, then the city can be held accountable for damages. We did! He said it'd probably hold just fine but it's not to codeI bet you and your plumber like my repair fix.![]()

Nice work!!
I believe the pros use sodium hydroxide on stuff like thatWet & Forget progress...day 18. Nothing scrubbed Just used the concentrated version w/a chem sprayer as directed.

everything seems to be dead (black & green molds/lichens/moss) and just waiting for nature to clean it off.
I hand cleaned my windows and siding today because they are under eves and don't get rained on all that much. Because I cheated by applying elbew grease I'm not posting those before/after pics. Just know they came out perfect & removed everything last years bleaching left behind (mostly black mold).
This was way more work than I had planned on doing but I’m almost done. Just need to grout the wall now. View attachment 20819
15x8 wall, I Will have used 3 80# sacks of quick Crete type S mortar, and the thin brick was around $800. I’m going to return about $100-150 worth of brick though because 15% of each box was cracked in half when I got it.vice nice, how much was all that material for wall like that?

Finally finished painting the entire garage(ceiling, walls, doors) too, took more Saturdays than I would like. The garage is about 800sq ft with 5 closet doors, 2 entry doors, 2 doggie doors, 1 attic door.
3.25 gallons for the ceiling, 3.5 gallons for walls, .5 gallon doors/trim.
BTW - my guys are really liking the metal tech baker trays. Said they are helping them save a TON of time not having to climb down to grab stuff - they just keep it int he trays (got two trays per baker). No idea why no one here bought them or suggested them before I saw yours. Had two guys on them 8hrs a day the past few weeks on this job.......
