It's that time of year again. Time to put some arrows in some fishies. First bowfishing trip of the year.

Had a pretty shitty trip last night. All the rain recently made it too muddy to see in the water. Which sucked even worse because we got on them spawning. We ended up with 7 but the only one worth noting was this behemoth. 46 pound buffalo carp. Took all three of our arrows to get it in the boat. Can't wait until the water clears up to go at it again.

The price tag is definitely not badass though! But yeah it's running a 600hp 496 BBC with no mufflers - the thing screams. There's been petitions to ban it from most of the lakes in DFW. Nothing like trying to enjoy a nice relaxing weekend at your lake house and having some guys come running by your bedroom window at 2am in an airboat with the stereo blaring and enough lights to make it visible from space.

Taking my boy fishing for the first time this weekend. Going to my friend's ranch. He is very excited. Been watching fishing shows on TV, went to Academy to pick out some lures for his tackle box, and got some nightcrawlers to guarantee some perch action. Pictures to come later.

Last weekend I went to Corsicana for some fishing. We didn't catch shit on rod and reel, but killed it on the catfish with a trout line. Ended up with about 12 fish!
I was a bit surprised instead of chad, they preferred little smokey sausages.

We got rained out. Only got to fish about 10-15 min. Water was muddy and full of debris from the recent rains. Boy still had a great time.
