I took my biggest buck yesterday. Shot it at my friend's place in Eastland county. I also took at a doe about 30 minutes before I shot this buck so the freezer will have plenty of meat. Posting a few more pics of some other deer I saw.

Yea he is getting shoulder mounted. The taxidermist said it will be ready by next deer season so I am hoping he has it done by the end of the summer.

Yeah they take forever, that's why I like euro mounts better. A guy I work with cleans the skull and makes badass lamps etc. out of them, I have two he's done and my bow kill from last year is sitting at his house wating on me to drop of mine from this year so I can pick it up.

No luck on my end. Didn't see much this weekend. Saw a nice 7 point Saturday morning but nothing other than him besides spikes and fork horns.

I went hog hunting in texas a few years ago without a license. I think it depends on where you are going. Where do you plan on going.

A few years ago the state passed a law that you could shoot hogs without a license if they were decimating property. There were some other stipulations but I think you now need a license. With as cheap as the license is I would get it just as good insurance.

In the book from this year you only need land owners permission with no license.

Got me a spike this morning, old deer didn't have any teeth, and he had a eye gouged out.
I took a picture of the front shoulder so you can see what a .204 with hornady ballistic tips can do, small .22 hole in the hide and a bigass hole underneth...lol

Heres that spike I got yesterday with the eye gouged out, turns out the eye was pushed up in it head...lol

Heres the front shoulder, the hole in the hide was the size of a eraser and this was the hole under the hide. This is what a hopped up .22 (.204 ruger 4000fps) will do to a deer...lol

And here is the doe I head shot, damn head turned to mush.
