Mule deer also have a white tail. You can tell it's a mule deer because the tip of it's tail is black. Also the way its horns fork.

Y'all do know Mule deer are hybrid blacktail/whitetail cross right? I watch a show the other day that was talking about it. I think there called blacktails, the deer that are mostly out northwest?

Unfortunately not. Since there is a mule deer season in at least one county in Texas, it's not considered an exotic. We have a couple of whitetail/mulie mixes at our place but were told we couldn't shoot them because they're part mule deer and they're not exotics in Texas.

Update on the ranch. My dad just got back from a day trip and says all the new feeders are getting hammered by both deer and hogs.
When it gets closer to time Ill start a thread to just keep up with who all wants to go down there to hunt for "free". Thats in quotation marks cause I am thinking about asking people to bring like 4 bags of corn when they come down just to help out some. Lemme know if yall think thats fair or not.
