Tires, Cords Showing & Tire Repair when you Need More than 50 Tire Plugs

As often as I say, I will buy AT tires next time, I have just ordered some KM3. I am a glutton for punishment and have a hard time learning lessons.

Anyone have them on their truck? ...or even their lawnmower as I am certain the lawnmowers are getting more 'trail time.'

I saw them on a friend's truck in Feb 18 and now it's my turn.

The tires do look good; but I do not have enough time on the dirt to justify MTs over good ATs. Not right now at least.

@Taco Loco came by this week and we had lunch. He commented that I need new tires on the Taco.. and I do. He said it was due to dry rot but I feel its due to tread depth. Anyhow I can't find KM2's... might have to bend over for some KM3's or go Toyo or Yomomamma MT's. The Yokomammas are pretty reasonably priced.

I hear you on that. My local crack dealer sold me my first 3 sets for $150 each tire. He did a trade from time-to-time, fabrication work in exchange for a shit load of 33s and 35s. I miss those days. Today I paid 273 each without mounting. I will say, if I keep them out of the sun, they have never failed me. - The one famous sidewall - would you guess that was the sidewall that sat in the sun for about 2 years before it when bang.

Jason has the KM3's on his Tacoma and loves them.

I still feel that the KM3's are overpriced for what you're getting. But if you love BFG then go for it.

Same here. But my next set will be the Toyo R/T's again.

The KM3's at Discount in 285/75-17 are $430 a pop before anything. Yokohomo's are just a smidge over $300. Hard to justify the $500 extra cost. What sucks is I have 8 KM2's that will need to be replaced.

I have been real happy with my Yokohama MTs. For how aggressive they are the noise seems minimal. I would tell you how well they did off road but your Tacoma just holds down the garage floor these days.

Yep and I would bet those km3s are loaners. I remember him with a set before this where he was testing sipes on the lugs.

That was the position I find myself in. Along with 8 sun exposed 50% ones that I have to get to the dump, burn them with some red neck friends or sell them for 50 bucks on Craigslist.

my XL pizza cutters have treated me well. Haven't thought of new tires in a while but your thread is intriguing me. My TSLs are getting down to the belts, and will def need some replacing after this year's cross country trip
