There is a washer that screws into the bottom of the shock that seals the bottom. When it gets loose it makes a super high pitched rattle. I don't have any pics of it nor could I find any online.

@tex There's your problem. Your supposed to have a spacer that offsets it. You are supposed to have one on each side. Your shock should not be that close to the CV axle.

Thanks. Just 1 more thing to make me question the QC at Icon. I guess I will call them to try and get the correct parts.
@Mitt78 and @italynstylion can yall confirm how the lower mount on your Icons are?

The icons come with two different washers. The thicker washer goes to the front the thinner one goes to the rear. Once I get on my laptop I'll pull up an install sheet.

When you tighten down the bolt it will pull the tabs on the LCA in. I really think this is a flaw in the icons. They should have used larger spacers to correct for the offset and gap rather than having the bolt pull the tabs in. If the space between the spacer and the tab is too great the spacer will side back and forth between the coilover and the tab.

I remember you had them reversed on the passenger side. Did the smaller spacer not get put back in?

It sounds like they value the spacers more than the tabs.
Its Icon, they value $$$$. Thats why they fail so early. When mine go out again I will be sending them to San Antonio not back in to them for rebuilds.

Mine looks like the directions you posted. If I remember the small spacer does not stick out at all.

Sounds to me like they still have continued R&D issues. I never liked them years ago and I still don't. Ive seen things happen to their shocks Ive only seen happen to their shocks and I'm not taking good things.

Either way, the spacer moves the shock away from the CV axle so you might just have it on the wrong side.

The picture of the bottom of your shock seems to indicate the "short" side of the spacer is almost non-existant. And that's perplexing considering I was there and helped you hold the spacers while you pushed the bolt through them. So I know it's on there.
