Go to Batteries Plus and pick up the AGM ones.

Will have to double check Batteries Plus for an AGM that will fit. The drill down options only listed the Optima or the cheapo.

Okay; that makes sense. I saw that and have a store about 30 mins from me so shipping may or may not be a big deal.

Just a rough tape up of possible cuts while I research clearance requirements for 37s-38s before dove tailing the rig. Then bobbing it. It is going to get short and tight. Then dual cased.

I'll see if I can find some pics of where I cut my fenders on my 4R. I had it so the interior fenderwell lined up with the cut and i could weld it back together. I had 36" IROCs on it with a 4" lift.

I checked to see if the old battery was still under warranty at Oreilly's today. The expert behind the counter told me to not waste my money on an AGM battery because all batteries die between 2-3 years of age. I just gtfo of there.

I am going to give this battery a shot. It is AGM and has solid reviews on multiple websites. It should be here on Thursday so I will double check the 4Runner's timing then to make sure the motor is closer to happy.

Which is why I am done buying batteries at O'Reillys unless I need it immediately. I have ran AGM batteries in my motorcycle for almost 10 years now with great results. I am going to upgrade both my DD batteries to AGM when I catch them on sale.

So I picked up the dual transfer case off of Chris for my rig. Tonight I made the loop cut so as I could mount it on my rig. Dropping the old cross member and swapping transfer case mounts was pretty easy. The problem is the exhaust; of course I found this out as I have that heavy ass dual case cross member right over my head with one hand and both knees holding it "up and to" the frame so as I can find the damn problem. So tonight I stopped while I am alive and will pick up on removing the exhaust tomorrow. Then to mount new cross member and rebuild the exhaust.

I will get this rig back on the trails or it else.

Hydraulic jacks are your friends.

Yeah; I ended up getting the factory jack out of my '01 4Runner and using it to help out.

Today the Sky's Off Road transfer case skid and 4x Innovations tc mount were finally installed. I picked up some shorter tc mount bolts so they are above the skid now. This is a nice upgrade for my old rig; thanks for the deal, Chris. I went to go for a shakedown drive and found that the back axle was close to locked up. So I jacked up the rear axle and could not turn the tires. Guess my next step is to tear into the rear axle and find out what is going on with that. This rig will hit the trails again - just not sure when yet.

Chris didn't tell you the rear t-case's rear output was seized up? LOL. J/K. Hope it's something easy. When was the last time you drove it?

Might be the e-brake

I checked the e brake and the cable responds as expected - right when applied and loose when off. I need to check out the rear drums anyways. I have never had them open in the 5 years I have owned and wheeled this rig.

Last time I drove it the whole thing felt extremely under powered.

You should swap in some disc brakes for the rear. Fuck drum brakes.
