I hope they're never purchased by 4WD (who is owned by Polaris).

Current articles are saying that Factor55 is going to maintain their HQ and production facilities. I bet that is the case for a while; but at some point Warn bean shifters will want to start to consolidate departments. It always happens and a lot of the time it is a good thing for the health of the company.

Another great brand bites the dust. While I do consider Warn a good brand overall - their bean counters suck so I envision quality and fit and finish to diminish. Factor 55 is a high end brand ~ Warn not so much. I quickly realized this when I bought my first Warn aluminum fare-lead and it was raw aluminum. Not even a clear coat to protect it. Who in their right mind is going to take the time and money to polish aluminum to a mirror finish then do nothing to stop it from immediately corroding? This was years ago and Ive seen them turn into selling more mall parking lot rated stuff than true well built HD offroad gear. I get that thats what the market wants, but not all of us put form before function. I'd rather have a shot penned finish thats anodized vs mirrored raw. Hopefully it takes years to kill their quality so if you haven;t bought their stuff yet - I'd get it quick.
