Hauled 20 bags of mulch and 10 bags of manure today from the homeless despot (I know trailer loads are cheaper but my mom likes the bags because they are easier for her to move them around). Looks like my brand new leafs were at capacity

Picked up a nice load of fresh cut oaks.

Went to get this and towed it home with the Taco. Should make splitting these big fuckers pretty easy. Ordered a filter setup on the return line from surplus center that should be here this week. Then going to drain oil, install filter, and fill with new. It's got the GX270 honda engine so this bad boy should run well for a long time, plus it was garage kept before

I hear you. I was really surprised with how much free fire wood you can find online on craigslist or FB marketplace. I can see it not being as common where you guys are at; we are loaded up here with trees and it's usually pretty easy to find up here. People get trees chopped down and don't want to be bothered to get rid of the wood. I probably have 2 cords or better worth for the fall now already cut in rounds that needs splitting. All for free just searching online with a little patience. I believe a cord goes for around $160-200 delivered around here so I figured this splitter should pay for itself in about 3 years plus I need the exercise

I have a natural gas fireplace in my house (not by choice, came that way when I bought it) but I like to keep wood available for camping, plus my parents have a wood burning fireplace so I usually split some for them since they are getting older now. I'd love a wood fireplace in the house but I don't have a chimney since all the appliances are high efficiency and fairly new along with the house, they never had to have a stack built for the exhaust gasses it would be costly to add it. At some point I'd like to add a wood burning stove to my shop out back to help offset the cost of heating and have a second choice for a heating source

The storm 2 days ago caused some good size limbs to come down on my friends house. It been happening more and more but getting bigger each time so the tree is coming down. Using the winch to help pull pieces where we want.

It's all coming down but in pieces. It all sprouts up from the trunk base. Taking 1 sprout or shoot down at a time. The 2 big limbs that fell on the roof put holes in it.
More being cut this weekend and the rest next week.

My daughter had a Girl Scout event at SeaWorld yesterday. We took the F250. I filled up and reset the trip odometer. At 70-75 it was getting just a smidge over 19 MPG, at 80-83 it was at 18 MPG, at 90 it went down to 17. On the way back I got behind a new Acura NSX (bright orange) along I-10 and was doing 90-95 for 25 miles or so. When we got the 130 I let the wife drive and she continued at 90-95.. ended up with an overall average of 16.8. Oh and San Antonio traffic on Saturday can suck my balls.. stayed at a hotel on the Riverwalk and it took 25 minutes or more to go 1.2 miles. At the hotel I said "valet this thing". Best money ever spent. So 16.8 with a LARGE amount spent sitting in stop and go traffic. Not bad. Oh and kids GS thing was cool, they spent the night at SeaWorld.. slept in the dolphin enclosure, she could see them all night. Got VIP seats to Shamu, VIP seats to a Bald Eagle show (or something with them). Plus behind the scene tours of the shark tank and penguins, and she got fed, just a cool experience. She was woke up at 6AM to go feed the Sea Lions and more behind the scenes stuff. Judging by the photos she was not happy about the 6AM awakening but she loved it.

Brought home a fridge, stainless steel countertop, stainless steel upper cabinet and a new 30 gallon water heater all in my 6' bed. I cruised down the freeway at 70mph with ease!

4Runner brought home a smaller trailer load of oak and pine. It looks like I am going to be replacing the tires on this trailer pretty soon. It is my father-in-law's trailer but I use it more than he does
