What have you done to your ride lately?

Yep, we traded the Mini Cooper for the Tundra. Wasn't much of family car.

In other words, you got your man card back! Glad to hear that. ;)

So how did the Tundra do pulling your trail rig? What kind of MPG did it get?

Didn't get the best mpg's. Id's say in the 10-12 range. There were lotsa hills yesterday to the park though, and lots of wind. In May we'll be pulling the rig about 4 hours away, mostly interstate, so I bet we'll get much better. On most days it'll probably get close to 20 mpg. Not the 35 we were getting in the Mini, but I am much happier with the Tundra. Now I have an 84 Hilux, 04 Tacoma, and 14 Tundra! I'll take it

Plus, it didn't flinch pulling the trailer and 84, just kept going. If I would have been using the Taco to pull yesterday, it would have been bad.

Tires are the last thing on the NEED list before May. Should get those toward the end of next month. Then I'll be collecting spare parts before the big trip. Posted vacation at work last night and about to book a hotel for the first two nights.

Nope I knew I wouldn't be doing Jambo this year since it was in May. I was planning to either do a 2 week backpacking trip to Yellowstone with my cousin and a couple of buddies, a week in Cancun for the gf/fuckbuddy/whatever you want to call her's 21st birthday, or Moab. But I didn't want to use all my vacation for the year for Yellowstone and her parents weren't going to pay for me to go so I decided if I was paying for it, I wanted to do Moab. But it's just the TW trip :/ I'm going more for the camping than the wheeling but figured if I'm driving 30 hours round trip I might as well get the truck ready for some wheeling. Not doing anything ridiculous but plan to push the truck as far as possible. Kane's Creek, Hell's Revenge, Fins & Things, and possibly Metal Masher are on the agenda as of right now for me. Leaving on Memorial Day (26th) and getting back a week later on June 2nd.
