Replaced drum brake pads and the E-brake cable. Had to take the center console and cup holder off to get it in.

I fished the E-brake cable up into the cab, hooked it up and went back under to make sure the gromment sealed. I looked over towards the front and saw that my driver side inner CV busted slung grease out of a pinhole. Mutherfucker....

That sucks, sounds like your getting ready to trade it in for a full size Ferd?

Its corrosion. They use cheap pot metal for the linkage to the back of the drum.

Tore the front end apart. Thursday I'll put on new driver side CV, coils, outer TREs, steering rack bushings, steering rack bellows, brake pads, and lower ball joints. Might go ahead and do the rear brakes and brake line as well.

Installed the new clutch master cylinder in my 4Runner. It went amazingly easy; then I realized I used Dot 3 instead of Clutch fluid. So - did I screw myself or are they same/same?

What brand drum and what brand shoes?

Brake best IIRC? I think thats what it was for the spring kit, brakes and drums. Whatever O'Reillys had.

I would be shocked if it wasn't Dot 3.
