What have you done to your ride lately?

i really like how thats set up man! whats something like that run
50 for the regulator
60 for the mount
15 for the hose & chuck (not pictured)
I had the tank, which saved about 60-80 bucks, but can be had cheaper on CL
Nice - how many fill ups you think you can get out of it? That looks to be the cheapest and easiest way to go from everything else I have seen. I wonder how nitrous would be in a tire :)
About 3 4xtire/20psi+ fillups... http://www.powertank.com/full.chart.html

Forgot to mention: I have another tank for the longer trips...

Rich, nice job - I mounted mine (same mount) on the floor of the bed and screwed around with four holes through the back of the bed... I may switch mine so that I can go back to 2 gas and 1 water Gerry cans against the back of the bed.

You know, IIRC I get 4 wheeling trips out of one 10# (I too have a 20#). What I do is weigh the tank on a digital bathroom scale after each use when I get back. As I'm sure you know, the tare weight is stamped on the top of the tank.

Edit, do you have another picture of that bed basket?

I don't have any closeups of the basket tonight... will try to take one tomorrow.

Its a Coleman model that they used to sell at REI that I found on CL for around 100. Mounted up perfectly to the 1" square bars that I had already made...

Here's some with the basket in play...

Very nice... my thoughts were wondering about heavy loads on the bed rails - thinking about my upcoming RTT/BTT....

Well UPS and the USPS gave me a little love today. Got some axle relo plates from Sky Offroad, Marlins welded style rear spring hangers and finally TG Creeper Joint shackle mounts for the rear. Just some little stuff that I'll need to redo the suspension under Clyde.

fixed my squeaky rear springs yesterday. hope the fix lasts, those squeaks were embarrassing.

What did you do to fix them?

cleaned them up and replaced the nylon spacer (not sure the term, friction pad?) closest to the front of the truck with a 3" long piece of inner tube from a bicycle. inner tube was cut and spread apart.

Cool.. mine are squeaking like crazy now too. The Dakars have been on the truck almost 3 years now and when I installed them I put a light coat of Mobil 1 grease between all the leafs. They didn't make a noise until about 2 months ago... but now its bad! I recently bought some Ez-Slide off Amazon http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000I1E7NW/ref=oss_product and I plan to pull the leafs all apart and paint them with the stuff. Just need to get off my ass and do it.

So did you have to pull the leafpack to do it, or just slid it in there?

didn't pull the leafpack, just raised the truck to relieve pressure and spread the leafs apart with a prybar and held them apart with a chisel. not my invention, i followed a writeup. some folks are using glue to hold the inner tube in place, i went with a less permanent method of placement and relied on the leafs to hold the inner tube in place. keep in mind i have the non TSB leaf pack, so i'm not working with too many leafs like your Dakars.

Well I might take a look at that pad first... see what kind of condition its in. I might be able to put off taking the things apart for a few more months. :)

Sounds like a good, easy way to fix the squeek.

You can walk into any dealership and they should be able to order one for the 6 speed. The 5 speed is not available for order unless you buy the whole shifter assembly. Had to use one from a different model, but it fit just fine.

Same thing for the 6sp... they wanted me to buy the entire piece that the seat rests in... Back to the books to find one...
