Finally received the new drain/fill plugs for the front differential on the 4R last Thursday. Today I refilled it with Lucas and had a hell of a time getting the boogered up drain plug out. Glad I already had the replacement in hand. Now there is not much more maintenance this beast needs except an oil change again. I do still have a new radiator to put in but am going to do that when I have all the parts for the larger transmission cooler ready to go.

Ordered an aluminum front skid plate from RCI Metalworks since they were having a 15% off group buy. Will be ordering Shrockworks sliders as well as soon as the ordering for that group buy opens up. I plan to pick up the transmission, transfer case, and gas tank skids from RCI one at a time as money allows.

Started on the respect of the 81. I was really disliking the flat black bedliner so I picked up some Sandstorm bedliner. Upside is I like the color and the can covers a lot of material. The 8 cans I have are probably enough. Downside is the shit comes out like its from a garden hose and it runs like a mofo!! So I'll have to let it dry and sand out the runs and hit it again.
yes she wants me to install them ASAP bc my shocks are gone and my truck rides rough right now.

About 5 lbs. Its actually a water based paint... each can is 20 oz... I have 8 cans. Figure once the water evaporates it should be pretty light. But it does look thick! I just hope it holds up. I'd hate to sand this rubbery shit off the whole truck.

Oh and that last photo still needed another coat. Its looking pretty good now. I think I'll start on the rest of the truck tomorrow. Provided nothing drastic happens overnight.
