What's the story on those? Do they lift at all or just strengthen? Certainly a new idea there whatever the case.

LOL.. I was trying to say its basically cutting your single point of failure in half, and cutting the shear point of your single long bolt in half as well. SO.. its a good idea to use two as long as they are in a double shear configuration, as long as you use those gussets.
Sorry, I was watching TV, drinking and trying to type and think.. just too much multitasking.![]()
Just strengthen, removing the outside single point of failure with a nice gusset. Spreading the load of that spring bucket along the frame a little more. Now the cutting of the center bolt to allow two only strengthens the whole deal.
Having a stronger front end is a good idea even if your not a Bro'Tard.
I was going to say super charge it but you got a better idea...No worries though. I'll just swap in a V8 and some 1-ton axles.

Just to clarify, I don't mean to say two ponta of failure, but taking your single point and cutting it in half.

Is that mount really a failure point? I could see the jumpers blowing that spot out (as well as every other suspension piece on the truck) but what about me, Joe Crawler?

I've seen guys break em on 1st Gens.
I am sure you are right about the bending of that bolt. That bolt must bend!
Hmmm, interesting. I need to get out and look at mine a little closer. From the looks of it, I could fab a set of those brackets with ease. Is that mount really a failure point? Damn it. Now I have to make a set. It will be super easy. Not sure if I'll stick to the long bolt or switch to two small bolts. I'll swap them out when I redo my suspension (for like the fourth time). That bolt was a megabitch when I did the uca's. Maybe I should give this 2 bolt setup some more thought.
Fuck, I hate you guys. More jobs to do. The death spiral continues...
