Thats the way to go! Around here there are very very few that have those... actually nobody I wheel with has one. We are usually so close that a CB isn't really needed. But it is nice when someone shows up late and is trying to locate the group. Do the handhelds offer the same level of performance as the ones mounted in the vehicles?
Yeah, I find we use them so much - it's 95% of the social connection of going wheeling. It's a lot of chatter but we have a good group of comedians!![]()
So in order to operate a 2M setup, do you need a HAM license?
Also makes a road trip with a caravan of trucks seem much shorter then it actually is when your all BS'ing.
what channel or freq do you operate on?
Just ordered this for my truck http://www.gaugepods.com/05tacoma.jpg
Now I need to find me a tranny temp gage and decide what I want the other one to do (to many options) and decide on what brand I want.

Get an extra sender and sink it in your diff. Then get a switch so that you can check from time-to-time!Better yet a blinker relay or some-some and have it go back and forth!

Looks familiar.
I went with AutoMeter Sport Comp trans temp and oil pressure. They seem to match the factory cluster fairly well.

dont tempt me Todd.......Put a boost gage in it, that way you'll have a reason for a supercharger.
I like this Keith.

I didnt know you had that setup Sean, I stole the Idea from Mike..![]()
Thats fine. I've had mine for a while. Hopefully the newer ones are a better fit.
.I got my gauges from autometer. I like them but the are a little bright at night. Nice empty beer can holder!
